The police immediately investigated the two men, clarified that the identities of the suspects were Shi Mouliang and Jiang Mouqiang, and locked the Sichuan A brand vehicle that the two were driving when they committed the crime. On August 9, when the police went to the hotel where the two were staying to arrest them, they found that the suspect had returned to Sichuan.
After further investigation, the police found that the suspect appeared in Qianwei County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province, and the police immediately went to Sichuan to carry out work. At about 14:00 on August 19, with the support of the local public security organs, the police arrested the criminal suspects Shi Mou, Jiang Mou and Peng Mou under a viaduct on Chongqing Road in Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province.
Searching for ancient tombs through the Internet Tangled accomplices took advantage of the night to commit crimes
After interrogation, the criminal suspects Shi X and Jiang X truthfully confessed the criminal facts of the crime of excavating the ancient tomb of Mrs. Ran Tusi in Maoshui Town, Qianjiang District. According to Shi Mou's account, he usually likes to watch small videos about the ancient tomb on the Internet, this year he found a video about the tomb of Mrs. Toast on the Internet, and analyzed that the tomb has not been excavated, it is estimated that something can be dug, so he sent the video to Jiang Mouqiang, the two hit it off, took a shovel, wire tongs, crowbars and other tools to Qianjiang to excavate the ancient tomb.
At about 17:00 on August 2, the two drove to the ancient tomb stepping point, found that there were residents and surveillance around, and the two decided to observe for a day before acting. At about 23:00 on August 3, the two first cut off the ancient tomb monitoring line, took advantage of the night to start excavating the ancient tomb, digging for more than two hours, nearly a meter deep, but they had not dug to the bottom, and the two gave up. He then covered the hole with weeds, returned to the car to rest, and left Qianjiang shortly after.
Three crimes were committed in a month
In the process of tracking, the police found that the two did not give up and were still wandering around to excavate ancient tombs. On August 14, suspects Shi X and Jiang X, together with Yang X, Liao X, Wu X, and others, illegally excavated the tomb of the Ming Shu King in Longquanyi District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province; from the evening of August 18 to the early morning of August 19, several people excavated Yang Ke'an's tomb in Qingchengshan Town, Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province. After arriving at the case, the two confessed to the facts of the two crimes.
With the strong support and cooperation of the local public security organs, on August 29, the police arrested the suspects Wu, Liao and Yang in Leshan City, Sichuan Province.
During several operations, the suspects did not excavate any property, but they caused damage to the official mausoleum group of the Chongqing Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit (the ancient tomb of Mrs. Ran Tusi), the tomb of Yang Ke'an, a key cultural relics protection unit in Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province, and the mingshu king mausoleum of the national key cultural relics protection unit, and it was very difficult to restore it in the later stage.
At present, the case has been transferred to the Qianjiang District People's Procuratorate for review and prosecution, the criminal suspects Shi X, Jiang X, Yang X, and Liao X have been approved for arrest, and the criminal suspects Peng X and Wu X have been released on guarantee pending further investigation by the Qianjiang District Public Security Bureau in accordance with law.
