Speaking from the level of an ordinary person, I know about genetically modified foods. The impression is that from the early 1990s to food soybean oil, then Hou did not know the word genetically modified, and later learned that it was imported genetically modified soybeans, and then used chemical leaching method to obtain soybean oil, and the remaining residue was simply processed as soybean meal (the main raw material of livestock feed). Our traditional sense of vegetable oil is the use of physical pressing method to obtain oil, as for the use of physical methods and chemical methods of oil from the composition or quality of the difference, not professionals dare not judge. From the relevant information in the past two years, it is known that China imports an average of nearly 100 million tons of genetically modified soybeans per year, and the soybean oil produced is tens of millions of tons. Such a large output of soybean oil is almost all consumed by the Chinese people, from a certain point of view, it is to improve the living standards of the people, specifically almost every family is using, the canteen of the organ factory school, the restaurants at all levels, snack stalls, food processing plants, etc. are all consumer groups of soybean oil, that is to say, the oily processing foods we eat daily have the ingredients of soybean oil, which is the genetically modified food that we eat directly into the stomach. Speaking of genetically modified foods eaten indirectly, soybean meal is one of the raw materials for brewing soy sauce (traditional soy sauce is brewed with soybean and wheat, which is named soy sauce because the finished product contains a small amount of soybean oil and the thickness of the 'flour-containing ingredients'), so the current brewed soy sauce is indirectly containing genetically modified soybean ingredients. The biggest use of soybean meal is feed raw materials, we now raise livestock, aquatic products, etc. all eat feed containing genetically modified soybean meal, so the meat, eggs, milk and aquatic products we eat indirectly contain genetically modified ingredients. The last link is the manure of livestock, which is used for the cultivation of grain, vegetables and fruits, and the grain, vegetables and fruits after harvesting do not contain genetically modified ingredients and dare not judge. In the end, our dinner table is inseparable from genetically modified foods.
