In order to satisfy his vanity, in 2018, Liu successively applied for 3 credit cards and began to overdraft credit cards to buy brand women's bags.
From the beginning of the order of a few thousand yuan of packages gradually developed to later buy 20,000 or 30,000 yuan of packages. Liu was immersed in the desire to buy, and the credit card overdraft limit was getting bigger and bigger. At that time, Liu did not reflect on his irrational consumption behavior, but moved his crooked mind. Her company is a large construction company, and as an accountant, she handles a lot of cash every day. At that time, the company handed over cash and general ledger to Liu, which made Liu feel that there was an opportunity to take advantage. She used the convenience of her status as an accountant to quietly transfer the company's funds to her bank card by making false accounts, which she used to repay the money overdrawn on the credit card.

In January 2020, affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Liu's company asked her to stay at home temporarily and not to work, and Liu, who had nothing to do, began to indulge in the online world.
By chance, Liu entered a live broadcast room selling jadeite. The anchors in the live broadcast room are dressed up brightly, and they carry out exquisite jadeite products to sell, including bracelets, pendants, bracelets and so on.

The secret is out
In July 2020, the company organized an internal financial review and found that there were many problems in the accounts handled by Liu, and a large amount of funds were transferred from the company's account to Liu's personal account.
The company immediately ordered Liu to handle the handover of financial work, and organized financial personnel to check all the financial information he handled. The results of the investigation surprised the company: from the end of 2018 to July 2020, Liu took advantage of his position as the company's accountant to embezzle the company's funds more than 100 times, amounting to more than 3 million yuan.
The company asked Liu to explain the situation and asked him to return the money as soon as possible. Liu panicked, quickly contacted the anchor of the live broadcast room, and asked whether he could return the jadeite products he had purchased before, and the anchor said that he could not return it, which made Liu's heart cold and half cut. The company saw that it could not recover the loss, and finally chose to call the police, and Liu was arrested and arrested. When interrogated by the procurator in the detention center, Liu cried bitterly and truthfully confessed his crimes, and at the same time regretted his love for vanity and irrational consumption.
According to the special audit of the accounting firm, from December 2018 to July 2020, Liu took advantage of his position to embezzle a total of 3.0716 million yuan of the company's assets 147 times by falsely listing welfare fees, conference fees, travel expenses, etc., and the above funds were used by him to purchase jadeite products, brand-name handbags and other daily consumption.
In the end, the Huai'an District Procuratorate of Huai'an City filed a public prosecution on Liu's suspicion of embezzlement of his position. On May 14, the case went to trial.
