The old woman with two guns can be said to be a well-known legend, and the novel "Red Rock" was published in 1961, which became a precious memory of many older generations, and the image of the old woman with two guns created by it left a deep impression on everyone, and even the children who did not understand things at that time made up the old woman with two guns into a song and sang.
However, the "two-gun old lady" who was the soul of Huaying Mountain during the War of Resistance Against Japan was not a person.
Yang Yiyan, the author of "Red Rock", once said: "There are three people in the prototype of the two-gun old woman, namely Deng Huizhong, Chen Lianshi and Liu Longping, all of whom are communists, and all of them participated in and commanded many uprisings and armed struggles in the Huayingshan area. And this character image has been misunderstood by many people for many years, and the rumors about who the two-gun old woman really is have never been interrupted.
Today we will go back to the period of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and see how these three heroines contributed to the War of Resistance Against Japan, and why they were widely praised.
Why can Chen Lianshi become a revolutionary woman praised by Luo Guangbin and Yang Yiyan in "Red Rock Author"? How did they know about Chen Lianshi? I'm afraid no one knows the story behind this. The reason why Chen Lianshi can make a name for herself is that she is willing to dedicate and does not ask for returns, so it seems a bit clichéd, as if every martyr will have this spirit, saying more, everyone is numb, as if it seems to be willing to dedicate, do not ask for return seems to be taken for granted, people who have not experienced it at that time, do not know how difficult it is to insist on this.
Chen Lianshi famously wanted to talk about her 42 applications for joining the party, and it was also because of this good story that Luo Guangbin and Yang Yiyan heard about such a person in the party organization, thus shaping the image of the two-gun old woman in "Red Rock".
Chen Lianshi first from the left
Why is Chen Lianshi spiritually valuable? First of all, her family lineage was also quite prominent at that time, his patrilineal and matrilineal lines were all large families that had been born in Hanlin during the Ming and Qing dynasties, but it seems that the more so, these prominent big ladies often do not play cards according to common sense, Chen Lianshi fell in love with liao Yubi, a young cattle herder, advocating free love, she quickly married Liao Yubi, of course, his parents did not know, she also did this because she knew in her heart that her parents could not let themselves marry a cattleherd.
What are Liao Yubi's strengths? He was a revolutionary youth, very patriotic. After the two people were together, they often participated in the revolutionary movement together, and they were a pair of veritable revolutionary partners, and the girls at that time liked the revolutionary youth who were active and patriotic and dedicated. At that time, Chen Lianshi was not a hot-blooded woman who took two guns to make a revolution, until the death of her husband, which transformed her into a strong woman.
On February 23, 1935, Chen Lianshi will never forget this day, this day Liao Yubi was killed by the deployment of the great Sichuan warlord Yang Sen, the first rank hung on the city gate with a bamboo pole, pain and shame shrouded Chen Lianshi, she was angry, vowed to take her children to make a revolution, and never marry again in this life. She returned to the guerrillas in HuayingShan, Sichuan, with grief, to comfort the leaderless guerrillas. After losing her husband, Chen Lianshi carried two guns and became a legend of the armed revolutionary struggle in the Huaying Mountains.
After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the victory of the War of Liberation, and the liberation of Chongqing, Chen Lianshi could finally put down her two guns and live a life of comfort and peace. However, she did not stop there, but continued to dedicate.
After the liberation of Chongqing, Chen Lianshi's family set up a liaison office for comrades who escaped from danger in an apartment in Linjiangmen, which specialized in receiving comrades and relatives of martyrs who escaped from the massacres in Zha Di Dong and Bai Gongguan. However, just when everything was developing in a good direction, Chen Lianshi encountered the most frustrated period in his life.
When working in the Production Department, Chen Lianshi has always wanted to run a farm, she said her own ideas to her boss, the boss advised her not to do this easily, in case the farm is not good, the impact is not only herself, but also the entire women's federation, and then Chen Lianshi never mentioned this matter again, the boss thought that the matter had passed, but one day, more than a dozen peasant brothers with the introduction letter of the peasant association found the women's federation, saying that a landlord in the village was reducing rent and returning to the mortgage, and also said that his land was given to the women's federation to run a farm. Chen Lianshi immediately admitted the matter, which became a big deal at the time. Chen Lianshi changed from running a farm with kindness to helping landlords do things. The Organization Department of the Municipal Party Committee was angry and directly made a plan to let Chen Lianshi quit the party, regardless of how much she had contributed to the Communist Party, and finally Chen Lianshi was forced to write an application for resignation, because the party organization said that as long as she behaved well, she could rejoin the party.
Chen Lianshi's resignation storm dealt a big blow to Chen Lianshi, who had been conscientiously contributing to the Communist Party in exchange for being ruthlessly "expelled," but self-improvement in adversity seemed to have become an inseparable quality in her life, and even though she was assigned to a women's correctional institution in Chongqing and a group of prostitutes to work, she still received various awards with a positive attitude. After Chen Lianshi resigned from the party, he went to many places and performed very well, and all localities and departments did not understand why such a good comrade would be expelled from the party, and they all suggested that Chen Lianshi rejoin the party, but Chen Lianshi wrote 41 applications for joining the party, all of which were delayed because of the special times.
In 1960, Chen Lianshi's health deteriorated, and she was soon diagnosed with malignant lymphoma and hospitalized.
On July 21, 1960, Chen Lianshi found someone to ghostwrite down the last application for joining the party, that is, the 42nd application for joining the party, and the next day he drove to the west with the quiet sound of cicadas. On August 6, 1982, Chongqing Daily published a set of major news: "Comrade Chen Lianshi, an underground veteran party member, was rehabilitated and his party membership was restored." Such a posthumous name can also be regarded as her last wish.
Is Deng Huizhong one of the prototypes of the two-gun old woman? It is still very controversial, because Deng Huizhong's daughter Deng Yeyun once recalled: "Mother's marksmanship is average. Everyone seems to have defined the "old woman" with "two guns" as the image of the two-gun old woman, but as everyone knows, "two-gun old woman" has become a synonym for patriotic women, as long as there is a tenacious spirit and indomitable will, it can be called "double-gun old woman".
And Deng Huizhong, as one of the archetypes of the "two-gun old woman" recognized by the author of "Red Rock", how did she spend her life?
The old lady in the picture is Deng Yeyun, the daughter of Deng Huizhong
Deng Huizhong was born in 1904 in Yuechi, Sichuan, when she was a child, her family was very poor, and there were three older brothers on it, so going to school could only be a fantasy for her, she could only look forward to her brothers coming home from school every day, bringing their textbooks back to teach themselves to read, Deng Huizhong's studious spirit made his father and mother very helpless, because in their view, a woman's talentlessness is morality, and her little daughter is so studious, she does not know whether it is a blessing or a curse. Under the "training" of her brothers, Deng Huizhong has been able to read and write, she often reads some revolutionary books, and the young shoots of justice are planted in her small heart.
Under the influence of books, Deng Huizhong's ideological consciousness has been greatly improved, and she opposes her grandmother's foot binding for her, opposes her family arranging old-style marriages for her, and longs for new ideas and new lives. But the reality is always cruel, 15-year-old she is not qualified to decide everything, his parents are still determined to let her marry, in the old concept, women and men can not let each other meet each other before marrying, which means that Deng Huizhong has to spend a lifetime with a strange man she does not know, which is unacceptable to her. Under Deng Huizhong's repeated pleading, his parents decided to let her meet the person she married, and this meeting was love at first sight, her husband was named Deng Fuqian, an educated cultural person, and it was under the influence of her husband that she embarked on a revolutionary journey. Moreover, Deng Hui's original name was Zhang, and because of his admiration and respect for her husband, he changed his name to Deng.
In 1938, after the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Deng Fuqian was determined to devote himself to the War of Resistance.
The day before Deng Fuqian left, he introduced his wife to one of his Communist Party friends, hoping that he would take more care of his wife and children, and it was this person who made Deng Huizhong a member of the Communist Party.
In 1939, Deng Huizhong officially joined the Communist Party and participated in guerrilla warfare and rebel forces. After joining the revolutionary ranks, at the beginning the organization only arranged for Deng Huizhong to teach in the countryside, teach children classes during the day, and teach the peasants to read for free at night, because she knew that only by reducing the illiteracy rate throughout China and allowing more people to recognize and accept new ideas could it help China's rise. Deng Hui worked day and night, and had no time to worry about his three children, so he could only send them back to his hometown. They are cared for by their own mothers and do not bring their children back until they are old enough to go to school.
And how did Deng Huizhong's two guns come about?
In 1946, Deng Huizhong joined the Chinese Democratic League in Yuechi, and the next year went to northern Sichuan to study military affairs and became the organizer of the Huayingshan guerrillas, and her two guns were issued to her by the organization, and she was not a strafing enemy with one shot in one hand, nevertheless, in guerrilla warfare, she did live and die outside the degree, fighting with the enemy to the death, and her title of "old lady with two guns" also made the enemy feel frightened.
In 1948, the Liberation War had already seen the dawn of victory, and deng Huizhong's family was arrested by Kuomintang agents.
In early August, after Deng Huizhong learned that his second son Deng Cheng had been arrested, Deng Huizhong and his son Deng Yongyi, daughter Deng Yeyun and daughter-in-law Zhang Shuzhen secretly sneaked home to discuss how to rescue Deng Cheng.
After Deng Huizhong's family was arrested and imprisoned, they underwent more than half a month of severe torture. Deng Huizhong did not reveal any information about the Communists, and the enemy had tied her up and nailed her through the cracks of her fingernails with bamboo sticks, nailing one question after another. In addition, there were more inhumane tortures, and Deng Huizhong did not give in. She and her son Deng Cheng were later transferred to The Zha Di Cave in Chongqing, which became their burial place.
On November 27, 1949, in this inhumane massacre, Deng Huizhong and Deng Cheng died forever under enemy machine gun fire.
There are few historical records of Liu Longhua, because she is the only one of the three prototypes of the "two-gun old woman" who enjoys her old age in peace.
Although Liu Longhua did not have any particularly significant outstanding contributions in her life, she was also a revolutionary woman who dared to be bold and not afraid of death, and the reason why she was qualified to be included in the ranks of the "two-gun old woman" was precisely her excellent personal qualities and chivalrous spirit.
The most brilliant period of Liu Longhua's life was during his work at Huaying Mountain, when he participated in and supported many uprisings, and after she heard that the guerrillas in Huaying Mountain were short of manpower, she resolutely joined the Huaying Mountain guerrillas.
Located in the Guang'an region of Sichuan Province, Huaying Mountain has always existed as an underground armed group under the name of guerrillas. When the Huayingshan guerrilla group was first established, the recruited guerrillas included not only bandits but also landlords, so although the Huayingshan guerrilla group made outstanding contributions in the underground armed uprising, it has not been commended by the organization because the personnel are too mixed, and the organization believes that the guerrillas have landlords and bandits who are really unreliable, but through the efforts of Liu Longhua, Deng Huizhong, and Chen Lianshi, the three "old wives with two guns," they gradually made Huayingshan famous, and finally became a Guerrilla of Huayingshan that made the enemy feel frightened.
Later, after the founding of New China, Liu Longhua was still active in the political arena, successively serving as the head of the revolutionary leading group, a member of the Fourth Chongqing Municipal Committee, the director of the Municipal Planning Commission, etc. Until March 1994, Liu Longhua was not considered to be retired.
On December 20, 2004, Liu Longhua died of illness at the age of 83.
The two guns shock the enemy's guts, and the iron blood casts the soul of the hero.
During the period of national unrest
Not just men
Many women are also breaking through the shackles of feudal thought
Establish a new image of fearless women
During the revolutionary years, a large number of revolutionary women who defended their families and defended the country emerged, who did not want to be left behind, did not want to be described as vulnerable groups, and dedicated their strength and even their lives to the nirvana of the Communist Party with their perseverance. "Two-gun old lady" may not have been the original three prototypes, she has become synonymous with patriotic revolutionary women, Jiang Jie, Zhao Yiman, Huang Bamei, Yang Kaihui, etc., these women deserve such titles and should be remembered by future generations.
