Beijing, September 15 (Xinhua) -- The 13th China-ROK Media High-level Dialogue was held on the 15th in the form of a combination of online and offline, and relevant Departments of China and South Korea, nearly 30 heads of mainstream media and experts in relevant fields conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics such as the responsibility and responsibility of the media in anti-epidemic cooperation and deepening people-to-people exchanges.

This year and next year is the "Year of Cultural Exchanges between China and South Korea", and next year will usher in the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea, hoping that the media of the two countries will accurately grasp the mainstream and direction of the development of bilateral relations, focus on fighting the epidemic hand in hand, tell the story of watching over each other and helping each other; write a new chapter of people-to-people exchanges around people-to-people bonds; and gather public opinion to spread positive energy based on media cooperation.

Hwang Hee said that for a long time, South Korea and China have established a deep friendship. Since the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the two countries have carried out close cooperation in the fields of epidemic prevention and control, information sharing, and economic and trade exchanges. The news media should pay attention to the changes brought about by digital technology and play a greater role in promoting people-to-people exchanges between the two sides, expanding cultural consensus, and enhancing mutual trust and friendship between the two peoples.

Du Zhanyuan, director of the China Foreign Language Bureau, and Kim Han-gyu, president of the 21st Century Korea-China Exchange Association, and other participants believed that in the context of the epidemic, the news media, as the main channel for the Chinese and Korean people to understand each other's situation and shape each other's image, has played a more prominent role and more prominent responsibility. At the dialogue meeting, CIPG signed a cooperation agreement with the Korea-China Exchange Association in the 21st Century, and the People's Daily and The Central Daily of South Korea jointly launched the "China-South Korea Friendship and Cooperation in the Eyes of the Post-90s" short video contest.

The 13th China-ROK High-Level Media Dialogue was guided by the Information Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, and co-sponsored by the China Foreign Language Agency and the Korea-China Exchange Association for the 21st Century.
