Last night, the 3rd Shanghai International Dance Center Youth Dance Festival and Dance Competition (hereinafter referred to as the "Youth Dance Festival") came to an end. This year's "Green Dance Festival" held a series of colorful activities such as dance competitions, lectures by famous teachers, dance master classes, closing performances, etc., creating a dance event for young people and igniting the enthusiasm and creativity of young people's art.
Since the launch of registration in March, this year's "Green Dance Festival" has received more than 400 programs and thousands of contestants from more than 10 provinces and cities in Shanghai and Beijing. After fierce competition, in the nearly 160 groups of finalist programs, a total of more than 40 outstanding works of the first, second and third prizes of each group were finally selected to stand on the podium of the closing performance, in addition to more than 20 individual awards, excellent guidance teachers and excellent organization awards.

In the closing performance, the closing works of the ICT Youth Creative Dance Summer Camp provided inspiration for how to use dance to guide and tap children's perception, imagination, creativity and collaboration ability. After learning the laws and movement techniques of modern dance movements, the children participating in the summer camp and the instructors jointly created their own dance works in the interaction and improvisation, fully demonstrating the temperament of contemporary youth dance.
During the youth dance festival, Shanghai International Dance Center not only provided a big stage for children who love dance to show their own style, but also invited famous dancers to hold 4 master classes of different dance types and 2 famous teacher lectures. Hao Ruoqi, Duan Jingting, Hu Hongjun and Aviv Greenfield were taught by four star dancers, allowing young dancers to experience the style of top dancers at close range, while also gaining a professional and diversified dance experience.

Cao Chengyuan, a dancer known as the "pioneer of modern Chinese dance", introduced the three artistic characteristics of modern dance from the introduction of modern dance to the common integration of contemporary Chinese life trends. Tian Xiang, an associate professor at the Beijing Dance Academy and a young dancer, combined his own creative experience in the Han and Tang Dance Theaters, shared how artists revisited the physical posture in history, and integrated classical aesthetics with contemporary contexts, thus giving classical themes contemporary value.
In recent years, youth dance has flourished and received more and more attention. The Shanghai International Dance Center also pays continuous attention to the dance development of young people. At present, Shanghai is focusing on shaping the charm of urban soft power, accelerating the construction of a socialist international cultural metropolis with world influence, and shaping a new image of citizens in the new era. As an important stage of growth in life, the comprehensive quality and artistic accomplishment of young people are improved, which plays a prominent role in cultivating the image of citizens in the future new era.
