The person in charge of the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra introduced that the concert version of "Concentric Knot" highlights the beauty of its musical art with a refined and simple stage style, and on the basis of maintaining the original artistic body, artistic specifications and high quality of the play, it is rearranged and interpreted, using new instrumentation techniques to enrich the texture and harmony, and further enhance the grand narrative and the symphony of music. The 2021 concert version of the opera fully retains the essence of the original work - the classic singing sections of the whole play (including narration tones, arias, repetitions, recitations, etc.), and intersperses simple story scenes in the musical presentation, and the form is more flexible than that of opera.
Its strong creators and cast support the creation and performance of the entire play. Qiao Peijuan, former political commissar of the People's Liberation Army Academy of Arts and deputy director of the Expert Steering Committee of the Chinese National Opera Inheritance and Development Project, served as the artistic consultant, Wang Zujun, former head of the General Political Opera Troupe, served as the music director, and screenwriter Feng Baiming served as the literary coordinator. Directed by Peng Peng of the National Defense University, tenor singer Wang Hongwei plays Huang Jiguang, professor of the Central Conservatory of Music and soprano Huang Huali, young soprano singer Jiang Ning of the China Opera and Dance Theatre, mezzo-soprano Zhang Zhuo, tenor lu hongwei, soprano singer Wang Qian and Sun Yan, mezzo-soprano singers Cao Hongbi and Wu Xiaojun.
