"The world today needs a Hitler. ”
On May 16, local time, a freelance writer named Adeel Raja at CNN sparked outrage over a Nazi tweet. With the digging of foreign netizens, Raja's many remarks in favor of Hitler in the past few years have been exposed, which has also made CNN and Twitter "burn". Afterwards, CNN stated that Raja had never been an employee of CNN and that there would be no further cooperation between the two sides.

Although Raja's tweet that ignited the fuse was quickly deleted, it was still not faster than the hand speed of the majority of netizens' screenshots, and Raja's statement was only the "tip of the iceberg" of many of his advocacy of Hitler's remarks.
After "digging a grave" on Raja's twitter, netizens found that Raja had tweeted in praise of Hitler at least in 2014. For example, during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Raja said he supported the German team because "Hitler was German and he got along well with those Jews!" In other tweets that same year, he also called on Germans to awaken their "inner Hitler" and even shouted "Long live Hitler!" (Hail Hitler)”
Although Raja deleted the remarks about Hitler on the 16th, many angry netizens still took a screenshot of the tweet and asked him, "Is this what you sent?" "Why do you say that?"
Many people also pointed their anger at CNN and Twitter, asking CNN to give an explanation and questioning why the tweet was able to pass Twitter's review mechanism.
"@CNN What do you say about this?"
"CNN may be proud to have a writer like that."
"It's strange that CNN and Twitter turn a blind eye to this."
Many others were surprised that Raja's account had not been banned, with some questioning Twitter saying, "It looks like your team is doing a terrible job of tracking hate speech."
"Why is Raja's account still available?" It should be immediately disabled and revoked from the platform. ”
It is worth mentioning that Trump's eldest son, Trump Jr., also used this to satirize CNN, he released Raja's Twitter profile and screenshots of signed articles on CNN, and shouted to CNN: "This seems to be one of you." But I guess that's no longer surprising. ”
In the face of netizen anger, CNN spokesman Matt Dornic told the Conservative Washington Observer that he had "never heard of him [Raja]" but that he was "investigating" the matter. Matt Dornic, CNN's head of strategic communications, denounced Raja's tweet in a statement to the right-wing U.S. news site Daily Caller and said raja would not work with CNN "in any capacity anymore."
"Raja was never an employee of CNN. As a freelancer, his reporting has contributed to news coverage in Islamabad. But given those abhorrent remarks, he will no longer work with CNN in any capacity. ”
In an article that Raja co-wrote last May, it was shown that only Raja of the three authors had his profile link removed
Raja's profile on the social services site LinkedIn (LinkedIn) shows that he has written articles for CNN on Pakistan affairs and has been involved in writing more than 50 articles for CNN, most recently published on September 16 last year. This means that after at least 2014, he was able to contribute to CNN normally. However, the Observer Network found that CNN did not link his name to any profile page in Raja's signed article. As of press time, Twitter has not responded to the matter.
