Former Gunners player Wilshire believes it would be a great signing if Juve midfielder Ramsey moved to Newcastle.
Asked about a possible transfer from Ramsey, Wilshire told talkSPORT: "He's going to be a great signing for Newcastle, a big club, obviously he had a successful experience at Arsenal and then went to Italy, he didn't play as many games as expected and he probably wants to go back to the Premier League. He could go to a big club that could get stronger in the next four or five years. ”
However, former Premier League star Darren Bent gave Newcastle a small warning, saying: "Listen, I think Ramsey did well when he played for Wales and he hasn't played much at the club in the last few years. The last time he played 30 games in a season was at Arsenal in 2015/16. I think Newcastle fans would love this signing, but if it's like a superstar signing that can come to the Premier League to save you, I don't think they'll think so. And that's just from an injury perspective. ”
But Wilshire said: "Ramsey can bring you goals in midfield and I think it will be a good signing. ”
Believing Ramsey won't be the only major deal in Newcar's transfer window, Bent said: "Yes, but it won't be the strongest signing for Newcastle. ”
