Beijing, 17 Dec (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of the Macao SAR Government, a highly anticipated delegation of Olympic athletes from the mainland will arrive in Macao on 19 December to carry out a three-day exchange activity.

The delegation consisted of 12 events, including 29 athletes and 3 coaches who had achieved great results at the Tokyo Olympics, including: Su Bingtian, the Asian Flyer, Gong Lijiao, the "Elder of the Four Dynasties" of the Olympic Games, Ma Long, the "Legend of Table Tennis", the Olympic Cycling Champion Zhong Angel, the women's epee champion Sun Yiwen, the diving double champion Xie Siwei, the women's swimmer Yang Junxuan and Tang Muhan who rewrote the world record, the oldest Olympic champion in weightlifting history, Lu Xiaojun, and the rowing women's four-oars duo with Cui Xiaotong as the oarsman. As well as swimming coach Wang Aimin, who has trained many Olympic champions for the country, Shao Guoqiang, weightlifting coach, and Zhang Xiuyun, rowing coach.

During its visit to Macao, the delegation will attend a number of activities, including: flag-raising ceremony for the 22nd anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR, large-scale galas, exchanges with young Athletes in Macao, in-depth community and public interaction, etc.

Gong Lijiao, who is about to visit Australia, said: "I have been practicing shot put for 21 years, and I am about to enter my 22nd year. I am honored and very happy to visit Macao on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland. I especially look forward to interacting with Macao compatriots, telling more people my stories and feelings, and passing on the Olympic spirit to more people. ”
