Globe Writer: Three-pointers are just a publicity gimmick Curry ruined basketball

Live Bar Dec. 17 Today, Boston Globe columnist Bob Ryan (right) gave an interview to CNN explaining why he slammed Warriors star Stephen Curry.

Bob Lane previously published an article titled "You Can Blame Curry for Ruining Basketball on All Levels," and on today's CNN show, he once again elaborated on his reasons for bashing Curry, mainly in two ways:

First, he has always considered three-pointers to be "publicity gimmicks", and Curry's three-point shots have made basketball lose those parts he (Ryan himself) likes - such as low-back singles, rich passing balls, and so on;

Curry makes many people want to imitate him, and children in stadiums across the country are now throwing three points, but "they are doomed to fail, they will not become Curry."
