Everybody: Barca are eyeing Betis defender Baltra with the intention of bringing him back to the team

According to the Daily Sports Newspaper, Barca are paying attention to the team's veteran central defender Baltra, who now plays for Betis.

Baltra has been outstanding at Betis this season, having played for the team for 4 seasons, making 124 appearances for them in official matches.

Barca has been in contact with Bartra, who also has good memories of Barca and Xavi. Baltra had previously said that Harvey was like his own teacher, teaching himself a lot in the locker room.

Baltra's current contract expires in 2023 and the 30-year-old is already very mature in football and Barca believe his experience can help the team.

Baltra's role in Betis' backline cannot be underestimated, with Betis winning 11 of his last 12 games, including beating Barca at Camp Nou, when his performances were seen by Xavi and Barca executives. Barca aren't the only teams interested in Baltra, though, with other clubs such as Milan also following him.

So far this season, Baltra has won the ball 39 times in all competitions, and he has stood out for this statistic. Each body stressed that Barca's interest in Baltra was real, the club welcomed his return and the players themselves never hid their love for Barca.

It remains to be seen how this thing will turn out, with Barca needing to reinforce their squad, but not only the front, they also need to reinforce the defence.
