Although the F1 and F2 seasons have come to an end, teams remain in Abu Dhabi this week for post-season testing, including 18-inch tyres. Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu, who will start his F1 debut season, completed 270 laps in two days in an Alfa Romeo car.
On Monday, Zhou Guanyu "announced" the launch of the No. 24 rider on social media and said that he was welcoming a new beginning. On the first day, Zhou Guanyu participated in the young driver test and ran a total of 119 laps, ranking 5th in the overall number of laps.
The next day, Zhou Guanyu ran another 150 laps, the second most in terms of laps, only one lap less than Ferrari driver Sainz, and the fastest lap was slightly slower than Alonso.
After completing the two-day test, Zhou Guanyu said: Abu Dhabi has been testing for two days, and the team has run well, learned a lot, and ran a total of 270 laps.
With the end of the post-season tests, the 2021 season of F1's activities in the paddock is over. According to foreign media reports, the pre-season test of F1 in the 2022 season will be held twice, one is from February 23 to 25, 2022 at the Circuit of Catalonia in Spain. The other time was from March 11 to 13 at the Sakhir Circuit in Bahrain.
