Former global champion Kevin Owens renewed his contract with WWE

Kevin Owens will reportedly stay at WWE.

Owens' previous contract with WWE was scheduled to expire at the end of January, but now, according to foreign media outlet Feather Select, he has re-signed with the company. Details of the new contract have not been confirmed as of this writing, but are said to be a multi-year contract.

Owens reportedly left a "superb offer" for WWE officials, who were said to be "ecstatic" with the former universal champion's re-signing.

AEW is interested in signing Owens, but sources there believe that AEW can't afford the pay that WWE provides for Owens.

Owens will join Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins and WWE Champions Big E for the WWE Welcome Contest, where they will compete for the WWE title.

Owens initially signed with WWE in August 2014. He has won one NXT title, one global champion, two WWE intercontinental titles and three U.S. titles.
