Jingyuan Optoelectronics won the lawsuit!

Jiwei Network news, Jingyuan Optoelectronics filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in 2017, accusing Lowe's Home Centers, LLC (Lowe's) of selling LED filament bulbs to infringe on a number of its patents, according to the latest report of Taiwan media "Economic Daily", the case ushered in a new development.

A jury in the U.S. District Court for the District of California found Lowe's infringing on Jingyuan Optoelectronics' patent rights earlier this month and was required to pay $2.12 million in damages.

It is understood that the patents involved in the case are U.S. Patent No. 8,492,780, No. 6,346,771, No. 7,560,738, and the patent names are light-emitting devices and manufacturing methods thereof, high-power LED lamps and light-emitting diode arrays with bonded layers, respectively.

Jingyuan Optoelectronics said that the company has invested millions of dollars in the research and development of LED technology, and has obtained and applied for more than 4,000 patents, forming a world-class patent portfolio. These resources lay the foundation for LED lighting technology, enabling consumers to enjoy world-class products, including the LED filament bulb in this case. Innovation is extremely important to the company's technological development, and should be respected and given reasonable feedback in order to continuously promote the company's technological innovation.
