Master is meticulous about his work and speaks directly, as long as he sees anyone who does not change his clothes and goes on the stage, or comes from home and wears a costume and performance shoes to go directly to the stage, he will say to you: "Are you without clothes and shoes to wear, tomorrow I will take the money to buy it?" After that, no one dared to do that. Master's words and deeds have set an example for our generation of actors, and they are always worth learning from.
During his 34-year career in Heilongjiang, he traveled through the landscapes and rivers of Longjiang and every city, rural township. He has been to the forest areas of the xing'an mountains, large and small, to mines, oil fields, institutions, factories, schools, barracks of troops and border posts. He also stood on a special stage to perform for the special audience of the prison, and the cross-talk "Special School" co-created and performed by Master and me was very enthusiastic to the prison prisoners. He also stood on the embankment and performed for the flood fighters, laughing and relieving their fatigue. Everywhere he went, he experienced life while performing, and then created. In addition to the performance, Master also went to the local mass art museum to give guidance and lectures.
In 1983, the first "Tree New Wind" cross-talk competition in the province, with nearly 200 participants. It was he who sowed the seed of cross-talk art on the black soil, allowing it to take root and sprout and blossom and bear fruit.
In the early 1970s, the Harbin Workers' Cultural Palace and the Heilongjiang Provincial Quyi Troupe jointly held a qu art training class. At that time, I was 20 years old, working in the meter factory, and I was an amateur cross-talk actor in the factory's literary and art propaganda team, when I learned of this news, I took the introduction letter from the factory to the Cultural Palace to sign up for the qu art class. Among them, the cross-talk class is taught by three teachers, Zhao Chuntian, Yu Shide and Guo Wenqi; the Shandong Kuaishu class is taught by Teacher Huang Feng; the Book Review Class is taught by Teacher Wang Su; and the Allegro Book Class is taught by Teacher Qu Baozhu. I also met Master for the first time in the cross-talk class, the master is approachable and amiable, the cross-talk class is led by the master, there was no training material at that time, it was the master who taught us the stage performance experience, basic skills training, and creative skills he had accumulated for many years, through oral transmission and demonstration.
At the end of the one-year class, Master sorted out and wrote out a cross-talk training outline of nearly 50,000 words, and later I asked Master to come to the manuscript to organize and publish. Master said: "Huang Hong and Wang Gang of the Yangshen Forward Troops Cultural and Labor Troupe came to the troupe for internship and performance, saying that they wanted to see it when they took it back, but they never sent it back later.
