The reporter learned from the Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau that on the basis of the existing 2 designated medical institutions pilot, before the end of next year, at least 2 designated medical institutions in each district of the city will be included in the pilot.

The first batch of medical institutions in the city to carry out the pilot of cross-provincial direct settlement of outpatient chronic disease related treatment costs is Fuwai Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, which can provide outpatient chronic disease direct settlement services for insured persons from other places to come to Beijing for medical treatment. Among them, the diseases that have been opened in Fuwai Hospital include hypertension, diabetes, kidney dialysis and heart transplantation anti-rejection treatment; the diseases that have been opened by the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Medical Academy are outpatient treatment of hypertension, diabetes and malignant tumors. The Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau has asked the medical insurance agencies in all districts to mobilize and encourage qualified designated medical institutions in their districts to actively participate in the pilot to lay a solid foundation for further expanding the scope of pilot medical institutions.
