Later, they returned to Beijing to persecute Emperor Gong of Later Zhou to take the throne. In the same year, Zhao Kuangyin officially ascended the throne as emperor, changed his name to Yuan Jianlong, and the national name was "Song", which was called "Northern Song" in history.

At the same time, in order to repay the life-saving grace of that year, Zhao Kuangyin also ordered a reward of 100,000 taels of gold to Xing Shu, and said that the official position in the DPRK was chosen at will.
Who knows, Xing Shu shook his head and said, No. If I had really come today for money and official positions, I would have come a long time ago. Xiaomin still likes to live an ordinary life, thanking His Majesty for his great kindness. If His Majesty really wants to reward the little people, the little people ask for the reward to be used as a payment for the relief of the victims.
Then Xing Wei knelt on the ground and expressed his gratitude, and Song Taizu sighed: "You are so indifferent to fame and fortune, and your affection for the people is admirable, be a model!" ”
In the end, in order to express his gratitude, Zhao Kuangyin gave him a handwritten letter so that he could use the letter to relieve his difficulties at any time when needed. Xing Huo put the letter into his arms, but until his death, Xing Hu did not use the letter to seek any fame and fortune for himself.
Many years later, Xing Shu enjoyed the full years and died peacefully. When his descendants were sorting out the relics, they found Zhao Kuangyin's handwritten letter, which was really touching.
Xing Shu saved the emperor's life, and without asking for anything in return, distributed the 100,000 taels of gold that the emperor had rewarded to those in need.
