But we also know that the traditional method of light weapons aiming pays attention to the four points and one line, that is, the shooter's eyes, the door, the crosshairs, and the target are in a line, in order to accurately hit the target, but this also means that as long as the enemy is also observing you, then the person you show your head to aim at must also expose yourself at the same time.

In order to solve this problem, shooting at the enemy while holding back on oneself has become a hot topic since World War II, and countries around the world have come up with their own tricks!
In Germany during World War II, it was already possible to achieve only the display of firearms in the bunker and shoot at the enemy outside the bunker by adding a curved barrel and mirror to the Stg44 assault rifle, but this method also had obvious flaws, that is, the range and accuracy of the bullet after moving in the curved barrel were greatly reduced, and it could be barely used in trench warfare, but it was not suitable for modern urban counter-terrorism.

Since it is not feasible to use external tools, you can only cultivate your own skills! This has to mention the angle cutting tactics in CQB operations: by constantly "cutting angles" to compress the enemy's safety zone, while constantly expanding their own safety zone, and when aiming, the outer foot, firearms, and head are a straight line of vertical ground, reducing their exposure as much as possible.

Through continuous training, skilled shooters can achieve the goal of giving priority to seeing the enemy's side of the body, while ensuring that the enemy has not yet observed himself, but such tactical training is not accessible to every grass-roots officer and soldier, so it is still the easiest to spend time directly on equipment.
In recent years, the most common is the corner shooting platform applied to the pistol, in our country's special police and armed police team is still more equipped, to put it bluntly, it is to install a camera in the same direction under the pistol, and then through the display behind the platform to let the shooter observe the situation on the other side of the corner.

But this platform also has certain defects, one is that it is not convenient to carry such a large platform, and the other is that the installation position of the camera is not on the aiming line of the pistol, that is to say, it can only aim at a general position when shooting, if the first shot does not hit the enemy, then it will directly expose our position.
In addition, there are more high-end equipment, that is, the future of the individual soldier system off-axis shooting, through the rifle mounted on the photoelectric sight, the sight in real time transmission to the soldier's front of the display, at present some domestic manufacturers have made this technology quite sci-fi, adding thermal imaging and diffractive light waveguide technology.

Of course, at present, whether it is the United States or China, the future single soldier system is still a long way from the popularization of the landing, and the military augmented reality system produced by domestic manufacturers is difficult to equip our army in large quantities in a short period of time, but the realization of corner shooting is imminent, which makes people have to ask: Is there any cheaper?

Of course, there is, the cheap corner shooting realization is simple to say that through the mirror or prism, the image in the scope through reflection, refraction and into the shooter's eye located on the side of the gun, and this corner direct sight can be used on the gun guide rail, which is very convenient.

For example, the more famous Swedish AimPiont company produced CEU concealed combat device, Russia's PKP-2S type turning sight can achieve such functions, and the angle can also be adjusted to apply to different corners or walls, China's special police, armed police have actually used similar equipment before.

But the above-mentioned corner shooting device has certain defects, the United States TMS is an ordinary mirror, the image quality after reflection is not high, the light may not be clear in the case of bad light, and because it is a mirror imaging, the target of seeing is left and right, which sometimes has a certain obstacle to the execution of the task, and the exposed lens may also expose itself because of reflection.

Although sweden's CEU and Russia's PKP-2S can rotate the viewing window to achieve aiming at any angle on both sides of the gun, if you want to return to the conventional state of direct-looking aiming, you must remove the corner sighting device, which is obviously not friendly in a rapid firefight.

And just a few days ago, the Internet exposed a QGM-95A corner direct sight of our army's new equipment, not only has the advantages of the above sights, but also solves some of their shortcomings, this sight is developed by Nanjing North Optoelectronic Equipment Technology Co., Ltd., and has now been equipped with some domestic armed police special operations units, from its name it is obvious that this sight has been recognized by the military, QGM in G is the corner, M is aiming, and the current gun is suitable for the Type 95 rifle.

The principle of the QGM-95A angle direct sight is also very simple, the rear body part of the sight is a pentagonal prism, using the folding principle of the prism to deflect the light 90 degrees into the left or right window, while using lanthanide glass and an average reflectivity of less than 0.5% of the anti-reflection film to reduce the loss of light in the folding reflection.
