China Aviation News Network News: According to Aviation Online reported on December 14, the US Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee reported that the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) must strengthen supervision of Boeing and the certification of new aircraft, and review the allegations made by 7 people who exposed industry problems.

In the latest 97-page report, it was reportedly noted that the FAA's oversight of the certification process had weakened and said the agency, over time, was increasingly delegating its authority to Boeing and other companies. The FAA should take immediate action to address the problems with Boeing's Office of Safety Oversight and want to replenish the staff for the appropriate positions.

Boeing says it speaks out whenever Boeing's partners have safety or quality concerns. He added that many of the issues in the report had previously been made public and that Boeing had been working to resolve them, with oversight by the FAA.
