During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Nansha will continue to strengthen basic innovation, increase high-end innovation resources, and support the high-end innovation platform, continue to promote core technology research and transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and achieve new breakthroughs in emerging industries.

According to the plan, Nansha will rely on the construction of Nansha Science City to build an important bearing area for the International Science and Technology Innovation Center in the Greater Bay Area and the main bearing area of the comprehensive national science center. Strengthen the core position of innovation in the overall situation of modernization construction, build a full-cycle and full-chain scientific and technological innovation and development ecology, accelerate the gathering of talents and high-end innovation resources, and create new advantages for high-quality development.

This year, Nansha issued the "Several Policies and Measures to Support the Construction of Nansha Science City in the Main Bearing Area of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Comprehensive National Science Center" (hereinafter referred to as "16 Articles of Science and Technology Innovation"), which is based on the perspective of strengthening policy orientation and optimizing the effect of policy implementation, and contributes scientific and technological strength to the construction of a comprehensive national science center in the Greater Bay Area.

The "16 Articles of Science and Technology" proposes to support the construction of Nansha Science City and Pearl Science Park, concentrate on the layout and construction of a number of major scientific and technological infrastructure, promote the landing of a number of scientific research platforms that are in line with the research direction of industrial development in Nansha District and have a major role in supporting scientific and technological innovation, and give each platform up to 200 million yuan (RMB, the same below).

In order to accelerate the construction of Guangzhou Nansha Science City into a world-class science city, the Nansha District Government, together with the Guangzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission, recently drafted the "Guangzhou Nansha Science City Overall Development Plan (Draft for Comments)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Planning"). During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Nansha will take the lead in building an institutional mechanism for the deep integration of the innovation chain, the talent chain and the industrial chain, greatly improve the original innovation independent innovation ability and the ability to transform the achievements, form a number of emerging industrial clusters leading the future, and build an international talent special zone with global influence, a world-class original innovation and strategic industry source, a highland for the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and become the main bearing area of the comprehensive national science center in the Greater Bay Area.
