On the evening of December 14, the Zhuhai-Macao Student Culture and Art Club and the 15th Zhuhai University Students' Culture and Art Club with the theme of "Zhuhai-Macao Youth Chasing Dreams in a New Era" were brilliantly staged in the Opera Hall of Zhuhai Grand Theatre, and young students from Zhuhai and Macao jointly presented an artistic feast full of youth and vitality.
The event was sponsored by zhuhai municipal party committee, municipal youth federation and municipal federation of students, and co-organized by Macao Youth Federation, Macau Federation of Students, Macau University of Science and Technology, City University of Macau and major universities in Zhuhai. The exhibition and performance selected 17 outstanding programs from universities in Zhuhai and Macao to participate in the performance, integrating various art forms such as singing, dancing and instrumental performance, as well as lion dances, shadow puppetry and other intangible cultural heritage works, including warm and generous instrumental performances of "Shengshi Guole" and "Fighting Tigers on the Mountain", the folk song chorus "Dongjia Wine Welcome Guest" with strong local characteristics, the street dance "Instinct Good Brothers" and "United Forces" that show the vitality of Macao youth.
The performance team of the School of Arts and Media of Beijing Normal University brilliantly performed the plucked ensemble "Pin", which has won awards at home and abroad, bringing an audio-visual feast spanning more than 2,000 kilometers.
"I think it is very happy that many students in Zhuhai and Macao can exchange and learn from each other, and can also celebrate the 22nd anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland through performances, wish Zhuhai and Macao and the Greater Bay Area to flourish, and hope to have more street dance exchanges with Zhuhai youth in the future to help the development of street dance culture in Zhuhai and Macao." Li Yicen, head of the Instinct Dance Team of the Macau University of Science and Technology Art Troupe, said. Mai Sheqiu, a student from Zhuhai Arts Vocational College, who participated in the performance of the song and dance "Common Home", said that he fully felt the warmth of the Zhu'ao family and the vitality of the Zhuhai-Macao youth.
Hou Wentao, secretary of the Zhuhai Municipal Party Committee, said that the event took the opportunity to celebrate the 22nd anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland to build a platform for young students from Zhuhai and Macao to exchange talents, show their style, exchange and blend, and give back to the society, leading them to forge ahead with the motherland and develop with the Bay Area, and contribute to the construction of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone and the construction of a modern international special economic zone.
