On December 12th, the 2nd Painting New Exhibition of Beijing Jin Shangyi Art Foundation and the opening ceremony of Hall B of Handan Han Yuchen Art Museum, sponsored by Beijing Jin Shangyi Art Foundation, co-organized by oil painting institute of China Academy of Art and Handan Han Yuchen Art Museum, were held in Handan Han Yuchen Art Museum.

Jin Shangyi, former president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and chairman of the China Artists Association, has made great contributions to the development of China's art industry as an artist and art educator of the older generation. Initiated by Jin Shangyi Art Foundation, "New Talent Exhibition" is an event that pays attention to professional level and discovers talents. In the second exhibition of painting new talents, 152 works were selected from 5237 entries submitted from all over the country, and 4 works of "Jin Shangyi Youth Art Award" and 20 works of "Excellence Award" were selected. The works in the exhibition basically represent the creative state and spiritual outlook of young artists at present.

At the opening ceremony, Han Yuchen, distinguished researcher of the China Academy of Art and honorary professor of the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Russia, first delivered a speech, in which he reviewed the development process of the art museum and gave high praise to the new exhibition works. Zhang Zuying, a researcher at the China Academy of Art and former vice chairman of the China Oil Painting Society, believes that the new exhibition focuses on the exploration of the ontological language of oil painting, reflecting their interpretation of tradition and their personal perception of life. Gao Tianxiong, a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, affirmed the spirit of change of young painters in academic pursuit and artistic exploration.
In order to further enrich the collection of Han Yuchen Art Museum and let the audience enjoy more high-quality paintings, the museum recently collected Mr. Jin Shangyi's oil painting "Portrait of Han Qi". The exhibition hall on the 38th floor displays 126 calligraphy works in the "collection", covering the works of famous modern and contemporary calligraphers such as Lin Sanzhi, Shen Peng, Qi Gong, Ouyang Zhongshi and Li Duo, the award-winning works of the "Second National Cursive Art Exhibition", and the Wei stele and grass works of Han Yuchen, vice chairman of the Hebei Provincial Book Association and chairman of the Handan Book Association.
