Liu Dalin, zi qihao, was born in 1949 at the foot of the Jiuling Mountain in Hunan Province. He is currently a librarian of the Gansu Provincial Museum of Culture and History, the vice president of the Gansu Provincial Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, a national first-class artist, the honorary curator of the Guangzhou Yimeiya Art Exhibition Hall, and the vice chairman of the Guangdong Branch of the China Federation of Famous Calligraphers and Painters.
Liu Dalin has long been devoted to the study of Chinese painting, especially loves painting horses, his works have participated in national and international exhibitions, and have been collected by museums, museums, exhibition halls, and personal collectors at home and abroad, hundreds of works have been published and published by newspapers and periodicals at home and abroad, and his works have been selected into celebrity collections and dictionaries such as "Dictionary of International Painters" and "Classic of Contemporary Calligraphy and Painting Elites", and his works have been exhibited in Germany, France, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and other countries and regions.

I love the horse, it is handsome, majestic, lofty, it is exciting, inspire people to forge ahead, it has played a very special role in the development of mankind, it was once a symbol of the combat effectiveness of the army and even the strength of the country, it was also a supreme and noble symbol, people regard it as a national idol, take it as a spiritual force to encourage the people to unite and forge ahead toward victory. Horse has a strong sense of competition, courage to move forward, never flinching, the horse's dynamics are changing rapidly, and rich in a strong sense of musical rhythm, its musculoskeletal, body structure is more healthy and straight than any animal, and innately gives it a rich mane and shiny fur, making it more handsome, exalted and dashing style. It runs like a flying arrow, it is so imposing. Horse is also a kind of emotional animal, it has joy, anger, panic, impatience and affection and other emotions, but also lively, calm, docile and other dispositions, from ancient times to the monarch, down to the scholar, all love it appreciates it, most of the kings of the past have the habit of loving horses, Zhou Tianzi has eight horses, Qin Shi Huang has seven horses, Xiang Yu has a black horse, Emperor Wen of Han has nine horses called "Jiuyi" or "Nine Dragons", Tang Taizong has a beloved six horses, Tang Xuanzong has a love horse Jade Flower, Zhao Ye Bai and so on. The horse is still a loyal friend of the people, as in the poem "Inscribed On the Horse Map": "Into the king to drive the drum cart, out of the general Huan Bianye." ”
