On the afternoon of the 12th, the "Golden Gun Sixty" successfully defended the title at the First Class Longines Hong Kong One Mile Championship (1600m) in Sha Tin, and became the most winning foal in Hong Kong's history.
The Hong Kong horse king won his 19th victory since his debut under Ho Tsze Yao's crotch, surpassing the 18-race first horse record he held with "Elite Masters" and "Beauty Heritage" to become a new record in Hong Kong horse racing since 1971.

In the first-class competition with a total prize pool of HK$26 million, the "Golden Gun Sixty" defeated ten other opponents from Japan, Ireland and Hong Kong, including the first-class Yasuda Memorial Champion "Kenjun Noda", increasing his jackpot to HK$95.453 million, just 10.78 million yuan to catch up with the Hong Kong record held by "Beautiful Heritage" (106.233 million yuan).
Owned by Mr. Chan Ka Leung and trained by Lui Kin Wai, the "Golden Gun Sixty" is hailed as the "pride of Hong Kong", delivering the unquestionably best performance of the world's best horse.
"This is also the achievement of the team, without the efforts of all the members of the stable team, we would not have been able to achieve such an achievement." He Zeyao continued.
He Zeyao left the son of the "Golden Medal" in the rear half of the horse bar position in the early part of the race, moved out when turning into a straight road, found a vacant position at 300 meters and immediately exerted the horse's strong explosive sprint, easily abandoning the opponent to cross the finish line with a speed of 1 minute and 33.86 seconds. The "Golden Gun Sixty" increased its winning streak to sixteen.
"I know the horses are in great shape. Although the second gear was not ideal, I was worried that I might be trapped inside, but the progress of the event was ideal and the pace was normal. He Zeyao continued.
"Happy Smile" won the second place, "War Dancer" and "Hou Tu" won the third place and the fourth place respectively.
"Winning this battle is actually more relaxed, because the pace is not slow, and the horses are running more relaxed. It is six years old and more mature, so it copes with Yuru. He Zeyao added.
Whether it is trainer Lv Jianwei or jockey Ho Chak Yiu, this is the second time they have won the International Competition at Longines Hong Kong. And "Golden Gun Sixty" has not been defeated since September 2019.
In addition to the 1600m event, the "Golden Gun 60" also won a total of eight times in the 1200m and 1400m races, and the other two extended distance runs in the 2000m were both successful, namely the 2020 BMW Hong Kong Pyridocy Competition and the 2021 First Class Citibank Hong Kong Gold Cup.
"It's a very brave horse, never afraid to break through from the herd." He Zeyao had this comment on this mount.
He Zeyao won the 1600m first class in front of a large number of supporters. The number of spectators on match days is the only one seen since the outbreak of the epidemic.
"Last year's same big game day scene was not as lively as today, and I enjoyed having so many live audiences and a warm atmosphere. However, there are also unhappy moments, and I hope that the jockeys who unfortunately lost their horses in an earlier race are safe. Ho chak-yiu was talking about the fall of a horse that occurred during the race of the fifth race day, the First Division Longines Hong Kong Short-Haul Championship (1200m).
