The US "Capitol Hill" reported on December 12 that a new poll released by the American Broadcasting Corporation - Ipsos local time on Sunday showed that nearly 70% of Americans did not agree with US President Biden's way of dealing with inflation.

The results show that 69 percent of Americans disapprove of Biden's approach to inflation, and only 28 percent of respondents do. By party, 94 percent of Republicans disapproved, and 54 percent of Democrats gave the same answer. Among independent voters, 71 percent of respondents disapproved.

The survey, conducted from December 10 to December 11, randomly sampled 524 adults and had a margin of error of 5 percentage points in the poll results.

Biden said last week that he believes the U.S. is currently at the "peak" of an inflation crisis and that inflation will fall once the Senate passes a key part of its agenda, the Rebuild a Better Future bill.

Data previously released by the U.S. Department of Labor showed the country's CPI rose 6.8 percent year-on-year in November, the fastest pace since 1982 and the sixth consecutive month of inflation above 5 percent; up 0.8 percent month-on-month.
