Learn about antiques every day
Deng Kunlun eats jade, lives with heaven and earth, and is the same light as the sun and moon. In the poem written by Qu Yuan 2500 years ago, Yuying refers to the essence of jade, and it is also said that it refers to the flowers of jade trees. Later generations used jade as the name of the crystal, and some people called the crystal water jade. For example, Sima Xiangru of the Han Dynasty mentioned in the "Shanglin Fu" that "Water Jade Lei Ke, Cai Cai Hao Khan", thanks to his old father-in-law Zhuo Wangsun. Zhuo Wenjun's father Zhuo Wangsun once ran a salt and iron business in the East China Sea, and also collected a lot of East Sea crystals, and later moved to Sichuan to become a huge rich man in iron smelting. It can be seen that crystals have been loved by the upper class in ancient times, and today I will take you to appreciate several world-class crystals, which are not only colorful, but also valuable.

Clusters of blue crystal crystals
Let's start by admiring three of the world's largest natural rough crystals:
First, the Zambian Crystal King, a rough crystal that weighs 31 tons and is currently in the collection in Lianyungang. This crystal was jointly collected by Li Mouzhong, a well-known collector in China, and Dong Mou, a crystal collector in Lianyungang, who spent a lot of money and months to transport this huge rough crystal back to China.
Second, Namibian crystals, weighing 14.1 tons, are now preserved in the Swakopmund Crystal Museum.

Third, produced in Fangshan Township, Donghai County, With a total weight of 4.35 tons, it was excavated in 1958 and is currently the crystal king of China, which is collected in the Geological Museum of China. 1.9 meters high, 1.7 meters wide and one meter thick, it was originally said to be 3.5 tons, which is a preliminary estimate, and now accurately measured at 4.35 tons. Due to the lack of digging tools at the time, it is said that it took 300 people and 20 cattle to pull it out of the pit.

Eight of the world's most precious crystals:
No1, amethyst, as the name suggests, refers to crystals whose color contains both purple and yellow in natural light. This crystal production is very rare and gem-grade ametrine is extremely precious. The yellow color in ametrine is derived from a small amount of trivalent iron ions displacing silicon ions to produce color, and a very small part of it is due to the displacement of tetravalent titanium ions with silicon ions.

Known as the Guardian Jewel of Love, amethyst is derived from a fifth-century Spanish legend of love. When a handsome man and his favorite princess were on the run, the princess gave him her beloved amethyst necklace. As a result, the arrows of the pursuing soldiers rained down, the princess was injured and killed, and the handsome man was also hit by an arrow in the chest, and when he reached a safe place, he found that it was the huge ametrine that blocked an arrow for himself, and since then people have called the ametrine the guardian stone of love.

No2, rabbit hair crystal. Rabbit hair crystal is a type of hair crystal, so named because it contains hair that resembles rabbit hair. The hair contained in the colorless crystal is tremolite, curved like rabbit hair. The fur inside the Red Rabbit Hair Crystal is rutile, which is often referred to as the "Venus Crystal".

No3, citrine, mostly produced in Brazil, Madagascar, Uruguay. The color is mostly light yellow, positive yellow, olive yellow, golden yellow. Citrine crystal is crystal clear and has good light transmittance.
citrine
Top citrine is cotton-free, crack-free, and very rare, belonging to gemstone grade, although its composition is sio2. Citrine is easy to fade and lose its luster under strong light, so be sure to avoid contact with strong light, while staying away from hard objects, crystals are fragile.
No4, Green Ghost. Green Ghost Crystal refers to the fact that the crystal contains green mudstone minerals, and the multi-layer green crystal inside is called the Phantom Crystal. In the same way, there are also red ghosts, white ghosts, purple ghosts, etc., all of which are formed by mud and stones of different colors.
Green Ghost Crystal
Because its color is very similar to the US dollar, it is also called "the god of wealth of the ghost". According to the shape of the natural accumulation of the material contained in the crystal, it is divided into pyramid type, cornucopia type, sky full of stars and so on.

Speaking of red ghost crystals, I will share a few more crystals for everyone to enjoy: among the crystal crystals, the red mudstones are naturally randomly distributed, which is very valuable for viewing.

Let's see if it's beautiful? Just like the red coral in the clear sea, it is bright and colorful.
No5, hair crystal. As the name suggests, crystals contain crystals that contain crystals like hair. The hair in the hair crystal is generally rutile, sunstone, black tourmaline and so on. The hair crystal is mainly produced in Brazil, and the hair in the modern synthetic hair crystal is arranged in an orderly manner, and the thickness is uniform. The hair in the natural hair crystal is randomly placed, and the thickness varies, which is also one of the places where everyone should pay attention to the distinction when buying hair crystals.
Hair crystal bracelet
Speaking of hair crystals, many friends may not be able to distinguish themselves from titanium crystals. The main component of titanium crystal is titanium dioxide, while the main component of the crystal is silicon dioxide. The hairs in titanium crystals are mostly plated, relatively thick, and visible to the naked eye. The hair inside the blonde crystal is generally more slender and not knotted. In order to make it easier for friends to distinguish, I share the following two pictures for your reference.

No7, red-grained stone crystal, mostly from Argentina. Rubyite, also known as rhodochrosite, also known as Inca rose, Argentinite, is the national gem of Argentina. But this is not a ruby, which is much less hard than the gemstone, often interspersed with off-white stripes. If you look closely at the following picture, you can distinguish that it belongs to a kind of crystal.
Red-veined stone crystal
No8, East Sea Crystal, is a specialty of Donghai County, Jiangsu Province, and is currently one of the "Jiangsu Symbols". The East China Sea is the largest crystal producing area in China, and there is no one. Donghai Crystal Market is also the world's largest crystal distribution center, and its reputation has spread to home and abroad. Su Dongpo has been to the East China Sea twice in his life, and in his poems he mentioned the East Sea, and crystals appeared twice. In the Crystal Palace, a blowing broken horizontal flute" came from his "Nian Nu Jiao".
Crystal carvings
The purity of East Sea crystal is extremely high, and the silicon content is as high as 99.99%. The variety of colors makes it ideal for carving. The hardness of East Sea crystal is 7.0 on the Mohs scale, the density is 2.66, and the refractive index is 1.544-1.5553. East Sea crystal has had many important applications in history, and I will not mention them here. In addition to the above crystals, there are also amethyst, ink crystal, beige crystal, green crystal and so on.
East Sea Ghost Crystal
Crystal jade is translucent, smooth and gorgeous, and is deeply loved by people in ancient and modern China and abroad. Wei Yingwu of the Tang Dynasty once wrote the "Yin Crystal" in a riddle-like poem:
Reflection with color,
Contains empty surfaces.
Holding on to the bright moon,
Sorrow into water.
Wei Yingwu was still quite cute, he held the crystal to face the bright moon, and the moonlight through the crystal was as clear as ice. He also feared that the crystal in his hand would turn into water and disappear, and the poet's imagination was indeed rich. Finally, I remind everyone to use a soft brush to clean the dust when maintaining the crystal cave, and then gently wash it with clean water to avoid flushing out the loose crystal teeth, and then dry it, be sure to avoid exposure.
