Stroke has the characteristics of high morbidity, high disability rate, high mortality, high recurrence rate and high economic burden, ranking first among the main causes of adult disability, and is one of the main chronic non-communicable diseases that threaten the health of China's national health.

In order to improve the stroke treatment rate, Qingdao West Coast New Area has continuously upgraded the "Stroke Treatment Map", and has now included 7 hospitals and set up emergency stations in all town streets. The upgraded "Stroke Treatment Map" has more hospitals, wider coverage, more perfect treatment technology, and can carry out treatment within the golden window period, and some medical institutions can also implement bolt removal, bridging and other operations. At present, thanks to the "stroke treatment map", Qingdao West Coast New Area has achieved full coverage of the "Golden 1-hour Treatment Circle".
