Sega officially announced the Sonic series' 2022 new work "Sonic: Unknown Frontier" at the 2021 TGA, and the story of the new work about the new work will be leaked out of the Network.
We already know that the story was written by Ian Flynn, chief screenwriter of Sonic the Hedgehog comics, Polygon (via Sonic Stadium) shared the synopsis of Sonic: Unknown Frontiers, and Dr. Egghead came to do things again this time.
Sonic: Unknown Frontiers Synopsis: "In Sonic: Unknown Frontiers, Sonic's nemesis, Dr. Egghead, discovers an ancient technology in the Starfall Islands and installs his AI program SAGE to invade and take over. But the technology worked more than he realized, and the unintended consequences happened immediately. Sonic must race against time to discover the truth, save his friends, and possibly even save himself at the same time. ”
Sonic: Unknown Frontiers was developed by experienced members of Sega Sonic's team, led by producer Sachiko Kawamura and director Morio Kishimoto. It will land on the Nintendo Switch and other platforms at Christmas 2022.
