To the west of the ancient apricot forest is the Usutut Reservoir, built in the 1950s. The reservoir is no longer available and is said to be repaired before use. The Usutu Reservoir is very deeply remembered by the people of Lao hohhot. In late July 1959, heavy rains and flooding occurred in the Hohhot area. After the flood washed away the Usutu Reservoir, it flooded part of the Muslim area and washed away the Qingkai Bridge (Niuqiao), which was built during the Kangxi Dynasty of the Qing Dynasty and one of the old eight scenic spots of Haote. In the past, Usutu did not block the flood, but now Usutu provides tourists with green mountains and apricot forests, becoming a good place for leisure vacations, summer cooling, and enjoying beautiful scenery. I believe that Usutu will get better and better.
