The new version of Tesla's software, which allows drivers to play games while driving, has been investigated by U.S. regulators

Tesla's recently released software over-the-air update provides an unexpected new feature that allows motorists to play games while driving. This has raised concerns from federal safety regulators in the United States.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said Wednesday it was reviewing a recent Tesla software update that allowed Tesla drivers to play video games on dashboard screens while the vehicle was moving. NHTSA said in a statement: Aware of drivers' concerns, it is discussing the feature with manufacturers.

The U.S. Vehicle Safety Act prohibits manufacturers from selling cars with design flaws that pose an unreasonable risk to safety.
