People have reported monsters because they can communicate. Whether true or false, these stories may not stop anytime soon. Here are ten creatures, ghosts, and reptiles from around the world that you may not have heard of.
Scandinavian Vandren (rooftop walker) is a fairly new urban legend. They like to stay on the ground for unknown reasons, so they make fantastic jumps from roof to roof. They looked handsome, with hands with paws and glowing orange dog eyes, and they were either dressed in all-black clothes or had pitch-black skin.
The most detailed roof walker tells the story of a man who, late at night, from the window of his apartment, saw someone walking across the roof of a building. After a while, the strange figure jumped up and hit the edge of his window! The man stared at him with glowing orange eyes, and the man ran out of the room motionless.
According to French legend, during the reign of Catherine de' Medici (1547-1559), a man named Jane worked as a butcher near Tuillery. Jean apparently knew too much, and he was executed when he threatened to divulge some of Crown's secrets. At the time of the execution, Joan swore that he would rise from the dead. Joan's ghost, hunched over and covered in blood, reappeared in Catherine's mind for the rest of her life.
The "Little Reds" continue to haunt the Tuilleries, usually on the eve of a catastrophe. It is said that Napoleon himself met the Little Red Man twice. In his second encounter, Napoleon pleaded with the spirit to change the terrible omen it brought. The Little Red Man refused, and then disappeared into the stairwell where no one was watching.
Sadako's story, roughly translated as "eight feet tall," is a web legend from Japan that was first posted online in 2008 and quickly became widely used in manga and games across the country. According to the storyteller, he was visiting his grandparents' house in a small village when he saw a strange lady who looked unusually happy and smiling strangely.
When grandparents were told, they panicked. It is well known that any young man who is interested in Sadako dies within a few days. With the help of a powerful exorcist, a relative's shield and three express cars, they managed to transport Sadako out of the area, but he could no longer visit his grandparents or even attend his grandfather's funeral.
In 1910, in Spain, a 7-year-old boy was kidnapped and used as a cure for Francisco Ortega's tuberculosis. A local therapist told Ortega that he could eliminate the disease by drinking the child's blood and applying hotballs to the chest with the child's fat. For a large sum of money, the therapist drugged the boy and put him in a sack. He was killed and used as prescribed. Both Ortega and the therapist were executed.
This terrible story is now related to the legend of a man carrying a black bag. He walked the night streets of Mexico and Latin America, always staring at any child who shouldn't go out or misbehave. His name is many, perhaps the most recognizable to foreigners. Sakuman Sackman
In 1958, two trains collided minutes after leaving London's Becontree station, killing 10 people. A second incident occurred in 1992, which was thought to be related to the first.
Late one night, one stationmaster was distraught, and a door in his office creaked three times for no reason. He left the office and walked across the platform toward the stairs, but he couldn't shake off the feeling of someone walking behind him as he walked. He looked back and saw a woman in a white dress with blond hair... No face! That number quickly disappeared. The supervisor later learned that his colleagues had also seen women who did not show up but had not mentioned them before.
In Scotland in 1925, a highly respected scientist and mountaineer reported that he had escaped something unknown in the fog of Ben McWhee Peak. Other climbers, who had previously feared being ridiculed, then reported that they had also experienced some of the following they had followed on Ben McWhey.
This phenomenon came to be known as "Fear Lees Moore", or "The Great Grey Man". The name comes from the fact that a small group of climbers reported having a biped with short gray fur behind them. Even stranger, the creature seems to have been encountered only when Ben McWhee Peak was shrouded in thick fog.
The story of a climber was reported in 1939, who said that during a midday summer climb through the Ben McWheel mist, he found that there was earth following him a few yards after in the fog. Then the fog quickly dissipated, and he looked back. Although there is no hiding place, absolutely nothing can be seen.
On 13 August 1940, ten people, including four senior Australian government officials, dropped anchor during the plane's landing and crashed into a hill, killing them. There is a monument at the site of the Canberra crash, but according to some, other memories of the crash also remain.
It is said that people saw strange flashes of light and heard the sound of planes crashing. Young couples who drove to the memorial at night reported seeing ghostly figures speeding past them on the road ahead of them. Most surprisingly, a teenage girl is said to have run out of the woods screaming to be followed by a burning pilot!
These stories are based on an article with two main problems: First, not giving enough details to review the claim. Secondly, there appears to be no other reports on such phenomena. A lack of facts, however, few people prevent good stories from being restated.
On August 21, 1955, in Godtown, Indiana, Mrs. Darwin Johnson and her friend Mrs. Chris Lamber went to the nearby Ohio River to cool down. As she swam 4.5 meters (15 feet) from the coast, her large, clawed hand grabbed Johnson's knee and began dragging her underwater. She managed to kick her leg away, but was later caught from behind. Johnson struggled again to get back to the water, rushing towards Lamber's inner tube, toward the shore. She had multiple bruises on her legs, and a large, green, palm-like stain that took days to wash off.
As if the experience wasn't strange enough, a few days later Mrs. Johnson and her husband were visited at home by a man claiming to be an Air Force colonel who made extensive inquiries about her events in the river. Before leaving, he warned the couple not to talk about it.
In October 2013, a very strange video was posted on YouTube. Photographs show a large, slender creature climbing up the side of an apartment building on the outskirts of Moscow in broad daylight. When it reached the top of the building, the creature climbed onto the roof and disappeared behind the building.
The video quickly garnered millions of views and soon appeared on multiple sites as some sort of Russian "mutant," but nothing could have been more outrageous. The video was made by a man named Dmitry Kataev. One night he couldn't sleep, so he wasted some time piecing together a weird video to upload to YouTube and go to bed. Still, the film appears on many websites in a "real" supernatural way.
In May 2015, in Hull, England, people began reporting a huge furry beast near a waterway called the Palmston Drain. When the beast stood up, it was estimated to be about 2.4 meters (8 feet) tall. A woman saw the creature jump over the waterway and disappear into the ground on the other side. A couple saw a similar kind of beast eating a German Shepherd. When it noticed them, it stood up on its hind legs, the dead dog dangled from its mouth, and then jumped over a 2.4-meter-high (8-foot) fence. Disappear into the night.
On August 29, 2016, a woman and two friends apparently took a closer look at the creature, called the Beast of the Bumston Drain. The three were driving along a country road when one of them pointed to what they thought was a fox on the side of the road. Then the "fox" stood up and walked toward the car. The animal was covered in cream and gray fur, bigger than the car they were in. Disturbingly, it has a humanoid face. The women sped away.
