Axon: I'm a Chinese, and that's the country in my heart

Livestream, Dec. 12, ECKSON: Today I want to say goodbye to my club and the fans who have always supported me.

I came to China nine years ago and joined Guangzhou, where I left many happy and unforgettable moments, such as winning the AFC Champions League twice in 2013 and 2015 and winning the Chinese Super League five times (4 times for Guangzhou and 1 for Shanghai Harbor). I hope the time we spent together will remain in your hearts. Those moments of celebration with the fans, the cheers after each goal will always be in my mind. So I just want to say thank you. Thank you to the club for trusting me, to everyone in the team, I have met many lifelong friends in the team. In the face of adversity, it is your help that allows me to continue to break through upwards.

Today, like everyone else, I am a Chinese, and this is the country in my heart. Although I left the club, I was always ready to fight for our country and for the Chinese team. As long as the national team needs me, I will go without hesitation, and I promise to give my full strength to the national team, fighting with my teammates until the last moment. Because it is my responsibility to represent the national team and strive to qualify, it is my pride.
