Live Bar Dec. 12 Today is the 35th birthday of former NBA player Roy Hibbert, and pacers officials send their blessings to him.

Roy Hibbert was selected by the Toronto Raptors with the 17th pick in the first round of the 2008 NBA Draft. On July 10, 2008, Hibbert was sent to the Indiana Pacers in a trade involving Jemaine O'Neill.

In seven seasons from 2008 to 2015, Hibbert played for the Pacers. In the 2015-17 season, Hibbert played for the Lakers, Hornets and Nuggets. Hibbert played in 662 regular-season games in his NBA career, averaging 10 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.4 steals and 1.7 blocks per game. He played in 54 playoff games and averaged 12.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 2.0 blocks per game.

Hibbert was named to the Eastern Conference All-Star Bench in 2012 and 2014 and was named to the All-Defensive Second Team in the 2013-14 season.

On July 17, 2018, Hibbert announced in an interview that he had ended his professional basketball career.
