Following "Fog City" and "Tutankhamun", today's Teaching Day brings the last of their first singles, "Sky Curtain", and the full-length album will also be officially launched on December 23.

Where did life originate? Is its very existence a doomed tragedy?
And in the endless time and space, are we free or lonely?
For thousands of years, mankind has never stopped questioning such questions, with philosophy, literature, film and music...
The creation of "Sky Curtain" also stems from this kind of thinking. The science fiction film Prometheus gave Shi Jiaori its original inspiration, and after a viewing of the film, the band was impressed by the film's grand story setting and dark visual presentation of the ancient and the future. Subsequently, guitarist Zou Yinfeng made up the original melody in a few minutes, making "Sky Curtain" the fastest composed piece on the new album.
"Sky Curtain" uses a South American-style bamboo flute as the opening prelude, with a minor melody stringing together a large section of typical dark metal downward distortion rotation to show the grand scene of the ancient altar in the music, and in the beautiful decomposition chords, the fragility and sadness of life are revealed.

Through a kind of romantic rhetoric unique to the 80s, lead singer NongYong once again gave the soul to this work with sincere writing. In the unknown ancient era, the ancient civilization that has long been reduced to dust seems to be right in front of our eyes: above the blood-colored altar, a sacred sacrifice that has lasted for thousands of years is staged.
"Fingers cut the mountain into an altar to pay homage to our free country and the lost homeland. Born lonely, died of freedom. The grains of wheat roll down and the feathers flow." No matter how time passes and the stars change, human beings will always be lonely fighters in the universe, and the pursuit of freedom in higher dimensions has long been engraved in our blood, just like the vows made by our ancestors to the gods.
At two minutes and seventeen seconds, Shi Jiao Ri unexpectedly adds a melodic guitar Solo, which is not common in dark metal works: Shi Jiao Ri wants to break the stereotype and use a richer musical language to tell this story about all of us from a new dimension.
The cracking drum beats, the magnificent distortion and the roar of the human voice suddenly stop at the same moment, leaving a thought-provoking aftersound... And for humanity, for the Day of Teaching, it seems that everything has just begun...
