Qiu Jiang has been appointed director of the United Front Work Department of the Yunnan Provincial CPC Committee and deputy secretary of the party group of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Qiu Jiang, male, of the Mulao ethnic group, born in August 1972, 49 years old, from Wuchuan, Guizhou. He began his career in July 1997 and joined the Communist Party of China in June 1992 with a master's degree.
According to public information, Qiu Jiang graduated from the History Department of Guizhou Normal University with a bachelor's degree in history education, and his graduate students went to Yunnan University to study political science theory in the Department of Political Science.
After graduating in July 1997, Qiu Jiang became an officer of the Organization and Personnel Department of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Communications, and since then, he has worked in Yunnan Province for 24 years.
Qiu Jiang has worked in the transportation system for many years, and he has served as the deputy director of the Organization and Personnel Department of the Yunnan Provincial Transportation Department, the deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee, the deputy director of the Organization and Personnel Department, the director of the Organization and Personnel Department, the director of the Yunnan Provincial Navigation Administration (Lancang River Maritime Bureau), and the deputy director of the Provincial Transportation Department.
In May 2017, Qiu Jiang served as the secretary of the party committee and chairman of the board of directors of Yunnan Highway Development and Investment Co., Ltd., and in August of that year, he was appointed as the secretary of the party committee and chairman of the board of directors of the provincial transportation investment and construction group co., LTD.
In July 2019, Qiu Jiang became the director of the Department of Transportation of Yunnan Province, and in September 2020, he assumed the position of vice governor of Yunnan Province, responsible for opening up, commerce and trade, transportation, civil aviation, railways, postal services, market supervision and management, and drug safety.
