Kumiko Okae has starred in the Japanese TV series "Volleyball Girl" that Chinese audiences are very familiar with, so the news of her death has been mistaken by some netizens as Yumiko Araki, the actor of Junko Koguri, but it is actually a misinformation.

Kumiko Okae developed fever on April 3, was hospitalized on the 6th due to a sharp deterioration in her health, and was confirmed to be infected with new crown pneumonia after undergoing PCR testing. She was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and underwent surgery, and received radiation treatment in late January and early February this year. According to the brokerage company, low immunity is the reason for the sharp deterioration of Kumiko Okae's pathology after infection with the new crown.
