Last winter, seeing that the roadsides of various village streets were more or less stacked with waste bricks and tiles, which not only occupied the roads in the village, but also affected the appearance of the village, while the masses living in the hutongs had to step on the mud on rainy and snowy days, Li Guojun came up with the idea of using waste bricks to pave the hutongs and solve the difficulties of the masses. On the basis of in-depth visits and investigations, he and other CPPCC members in the area under his jurisdiction jointly put forward a proposal to the township party committee and township government to "shop for waste bricks and pave hutongs", which was highly recognized by the township party committee and the township government. Up to now, the township has used abandoned bricks to lay more than 1,400 hutongs and 670,000 square meters, and the hardening rate of hutongs in the township has reached more than 90%. This is just a microcosm of the work of the conveners of the CPPCC work in 83 townships (streets) in Puyang City.

In 2021, the party group of the CPPCC Municipal Committee will innovate and promote the system of conveners of the work of the township (street) CPPCC as the entry point of "grasping the key points, highlighting the highlights, creating first-class, and building a brand", and timely carry out training for the new conveners after the change of the township (street) party committee; establish a system of subcontracting counties and districts for members of the chairman's meeting, contacting and guiding key townships and towns, and visiting and investigating counties, districts, and townships in subcontracting every quarter, so as to achieve quarterly problems, quarterly grasping and promoting, and quarterly grasping summaries.

The conveners of the township (street) CPPCC work insisted on combining "micro-consultation" with the practical activity of "I do practical things for the masses" and carried out a series of research, inspection, and consultation activities around "the masses ordering orders, the committee members paying the bills, consulting to solve the bills, and following up on the investigation orders." At the beginning of this year, the convener of the CPPCC Central Plains Office of Hualong District held a consultation meeting attended by the project leader, CPPCC members, and owners in response to practical problems such as drinking substandard groundwater and potholes on the road surface in the Zhongyuan District during the transformation of the old residential area. Under the suggestions of the committee members, the residents of the community successfully drank the Water of the Danjiang River, and the community laid an asphalt road, and the residents sincerely admired: the committee members were around.

Since the beginning of this year, the conveners of the CPPCC work in 83 townships (streets) in the city have organized more than 1,000 opinions and suggestions from the members of the districts under their jurisdiction, done more than 450 practical and good deeds for the masses, and called out the sign of the township (street) CPPCC work convener in the city.
