Read The Moon and Sixpence

This is a book that has always floated in my mind and has been mentioned by many people.

I glanced at it and it seemed to fit in with the moment.

After reading it, I did not understand why the name of the book was The Moon and Sixpence, and even wondered: why I did not see the words Moon and Sixpence after reading the whole text.

I am ashamed that I know very little about the background of creation and the cultural and life background of the author, but reading books is also to understand the process of an author, to understand the process of a history, to understand a rich story.

From a glamorous securities broker to a painter who pursued him resolutely in his life, he gave up 17 years of marriage and traveled from England to Paris to Tahiti. What a character. A little obscure, a little conformist, a little selfish, a little determined, a little persistent, a little self-congratulatory, a little off-earthly, a little detached.

With these changes and developments, there is also a mixture of chicken feathers. Life, who else is not?

Just like "Alive", "The Moon and Sixpence" is another kind of life, not so tragic, more of a unique will, or a kind of freedom and courage that "six relatives do not recognize". We can say that the protagonist is ridiculous, but this is not to blame. We all live our lives, being envied or being sympathetic. We all have our own life choices and even choices, to the left or to the right. We can't live the same life, let alone live in the same trajectory. The moon and sixpence, which is more important, different you and I have different answers, even if you have different stages of your own life, I am afraid that there are different answers.

In the modern era when polarization is even worse, there are many people who can stabilize servility, but there are also many people who expect a breakthrough in the moon, so there are so many rich psychological and mental diseases, right? Just as the word depression seems to appear more in our field of vision.

Remember the drunken man lying under the subway station? Remember a man who died in a rental house courier brother? Remember the man who committed suicide by jumping into a steel-making furnace? These may be the real and somewhat cruel pictures of life brought about by the unavoidable sixpence in real life.

Of course, there are many cases of ups and downs, and success and fame, but rationally speaking, this probability is very low. But this is also the most real existence, and almost everything we can touch follows the principle of two eights, only more than that.

I once read such a passage: "Your pressure comes from the inability to self-discipline, just pretend to work hard, the status quo can not keep up with the inner desires, so you are anxious and panicky." 」 I guess this applies to most people, myself included, although it's a bit of a mouthful to say pretending to be trying. I think we've all had moments of inadequacy, why? Because ability can't keep up with thoughts and consciousness. Just like when we play, we can think of what shot method, what position the mother ball controls, what angle is set aside to hit the next target ball, and even how to clear the table with one shot, but the actual performance? Sometimes even the first step can't be achieved, let alone the position and clearing the stage. Of course, this is only in our unprofessional areas.

What about in the area of specialization? You will find that work is like falling in love, or very humble kind, the more you love, the more frustrated you are, and the more you are not valued. You understand others, to take the initiative to solve problems, but others silently hide behind, and even bring you more negative contributions. We hope that our initiative can be exchanged for more follow-up and understanding from colleagues, but it has not worked for a long time. We have experienced too much of this terminally ill phenomenon, but we are always powerless to change it. We look ignorant like grasshoppers shaking a tree; we look foolish like fools moving mountains. So, something really licks harder and harder and you have to take it.

The moon is a pure land, and there are few people who can touch it, but we should keep our original intention and always follow the road, even if we can't reach it.
