Tesla CEO Elon Musk said at a forum on Monday that he doesn't think the U.S. needs the Biden administration's infrastructure bill or any government subsidies. "Cancel them all," he said.

Musk noted that Tesla has been selling its electric cars in the U.S. for more than a year, and demand hasn't been hit even without the $7,500 federal tax credit. Most other automakers except General Motors are still eligible for this tax credit.

Musk also said he doesn't think the U.S. government should subsidize expanding charging infrastructure — though that provision is part of the infrastructure bill bid bidden has signed into law.
