"In the ancient poem "Wing Liu", it is said that ten thousand green silk tassels are hanging down, do you know what a silk tassel is? This is it! This is the shoulder of the cloud, this is Ying Luo..." At the Li Ancestral Painted Clay Sculpture Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall, Li Pengfei pointed to his clay sculpture "Traditional Boy" and introduced it with great vigor.
Although this young man with a thin face and no screeching smile is a "post-80s", he has achieved good achievements in his career: he is not only a representative inheritor of the provincial intangible cultural heritage (Li's ancestral clay sculpture), a member of the Henan Sculpture Society, a member of the 12th Youth Federation of Henan Province, a member of the 3rd Youth Federation of Jiaozuo City, and the 12th "Top Ten Outstanding Youths of Wen County", but also the vice chairman of the Wen County Folk Artists Association.
For clay sculptures, Li Pengfei's love of blending into the blood has a lifetime of persistence. At the age of eight, he studied art with his father, while studying in the village school, while using his spare time to help his father lay hands, through his father's words and deeds and ear to ear life, coupled with hands-on practice, step by step, gradually mastered the method of making clay sculptures, under the cultivation of his father, Li Pengfei gradually entered a better state in the garden of folk art.
As early as 2012, he was entrusted to participate in the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to produce a sculpture of Chen Wangting's table for the city leaders, which was widely recognized. In December of the same year, in the first folk art exhibition in Henan Province, his works won the second prize. In June 2017, in the first traditional skills competition and exhibition in Henan Province, his painted sculpture "Wu Jiang" was exhibited for the first time and was collected by the School of Art and Design of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry. It has successively created a large number of works reflecting the traditional Chinese painted sculpture art for the national key cultural relics protection units Wuzhi Jiayingguan, Wuzhi Wanhuazhuang Qinglong Palace, Wenxian Cisheng Temple, Boai Yueshan Temple and Gongyi Zhulin Town Changshou Mountain Tourist Attractions.
Every year, Li Pengfei actively participates in various exhibitions and dissemination activities throughout the country and the province to expand the popularity and influence of intangible cultural heritage projects. Near the Wenxian No. 2 Junior Experimental Middle School, he set up an art creation studio and a Li ancestral painted clay sculpture intangible cultural heritage exhibition hall. The studio mainly recruits students to learn the art of painted clay sculptures, and regularly holds public welfare activities to invite social groups and students to experience clay sculptures. The exhibition hall is open to the public free of charge for people to visit and understand the clay sculpture culture and enhance the sense of identity with traditional culture.
"Most of our Li painted clay sculptures are based on historical myths and stories, the most precious of which, I think, in addition to ancestral craftsmanship, is the factor of traditional Chinese culture." Li Pengfei introduced, "In recent years, in order to encourage me to produce high-quality projects, the government has given me financial support and business guidance many times. As a representative inheritor of provincial intangible cultural heritage, I have the responsibility to excavate the value of the times contained in folk traditional culture, tell the story of the Yellow River, continue the historical context, strengthen cultural self-confidence, and benefit the villagers. ”
Li Pengfei is only one of the representatives of local talents in Wenxian County, how to do a good job in cultivating and inheriting them, so that local talents can be "incense"? Wenxian actively explores and encourages young people to return to the countryside to learn local skills and inherit local "unique skills" through incentive measures such as entrepreneurship support, preferential policies, and political training, vigorously promote the development of local talents, and let traditional culture and local skills be passed on on the stage of rural development in the new era.
