On December 1, Beijing time, the World Athletics Federation announced important news on its official website that the Athletics Federation Council, which is being held in Monaco, has just approved the venue and date of three events: 1. The 2022 U20 World Championships will be held in Cali, Colombia, from August 1 to 6, 2023, the sixth Relay World Championships will be held in Guangzhou, China from May 13 to 14, 2023; and the 2023 Athletics Federation Road Running Championships will be held in Riga, Latvia, from September 30 to October 1. Guangzhou will be the first city in China to host the Relay World Championships, when Asian flyer Su Bingtian is expected to lead his Guangdong little master and disciple to challenge Coleman, Bromel, Jacobs and other world speed masters at home.
The Relay World Championships are the emerging World Athletics League, which was first trained in Nassau, Bahamas, in 2014, and the second and third consecutive editions in Nassau in 2015 and 2017. At the 2017 Relay World Championships, Tang Xingqiang, Xie Zhenye, Su Bingtian and Liang Jinsheng won the bronze medal in the men's 4X100m in 39.22 seconds, and the Chinese women's team also won the bronze medal in the 4X100m relay. The 2019 Relay World Championships were held in Yokohama, Japan, the men's 4X100m final, Su Bingtian ran the third baton to liang Jinsheng when the chinese team was still in the first place, but then due to Liang Jinsheng's lack of speed, it was surpassed by the opponent one after another, and finally the Chinese team won the fourth place with a difference of 0.01 seconds and did not have the opportunity to get on the podium.
This season's Chinese men's sprint has shown a spurt, with leader Su Bingtian, although a post-80s generation, born in 1989, who ran a new Asian record of 9.83 seconds in the semi-finals of the Tokyo Olympic Games. Chen Guanfeng, a post-00s team in Guangdong, ran 10.06 seconds in Chongqing in June this year, narrowly reaching the Olympic participation standard of 10.05 seconds.
