In order to better implement the spirit of the important instructions on "promoting and developing Liu Sanjie's culture well" as "creating for the times and singing songs for the times", the large-scale documentary "The Past and Present Life of Liu Sanjie", jointly planned and filmed by China International Satellite TV ASEAN Station, Guangxi Hongda Property Service Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Weiying Visual Culture Media Co., Ltd., was filmed at Guangxi Art School in November 2021.

The filming of the large-scale documentary "Liu Sanjie's Past and Present Life" is to deeply explore the source and inheritance of Liu Sanjie's image and cultural image rooted in the landscapes and rivers of Guangxi; to truly record the moving scenes in which the works of art of "Liu Sanjie" were warmly welcomed and admired by the audience in the process of domestic and overseas performance and dissemination; objectively reflect the background and reasons for the different attitudes towards "Liu Sanjie" in different historical periods; and truly reproduce those who were long-unknown and did not seek fame and fortune to contribute to Liu Sanjie's song culture. The moving stories of selflessly dedicated playwrights, musicians, performing artists, and folk singers truly reflect the whole process of the party and the people's government leaders at all levels adhering to cultural self-confidence and cultural self-consciousness, uniting the vast number of literary and art workers and the broad masses to persist in inheriting the traditional culture rooted in the masses for thousands of years and jointly cultivating Liu Sanjie's cultural masterpieces. Through the filming and broadcasting of documentaries, we can better inherit the excellent Chinese culture in the new era.
