Thirty and Li changed from a teacher training teacher to a career in journalism, I was just a new journalism novice. I know that in this industry, I started late, started low, was a recruit, and I had to learn honestly from scratch.
In order to adapt to the work as soon as possible, the leaders of the Lijiang Daily newspaper where I worked paid for our editorial staff to collectively participate in the one-year news correspondence class held by the People's Daily. With some thought and combined work practice, over the course of two or three years, I started publishing some news papers.
1. The old office building inside the gate of Guangxi Daily Media Group, a building from the 1950s.
In 1991, I participated in the dissertation call for papers jointly organized by the editorial department of "News Front" and a prefectural newspaper, and my "Strength and Weakness of Positive Propaganda of Prefectural And Municipal Newspapers" won excellent papers and was selected into the collection of award-winning papers of "Coordinates and Directions" published by People's Daily; in 1992, I cooperated with Zou Furong, then editor-in-chief of Lijiang Daily, to write a paper entitled "National Psychological Transmutation and News Dissemination Strategy in Social Reform", which was awarded the first prize by the Annual Meeting of the National Minority Journalism Research Association that year and published in the journal "National News" The magazine was later reprinted by China Reporter. It was also at this time that the site of the National Minority Journalism Research Association was moved from Guizhou Qiandongnan Bao to our Lijiang Daily. The leader gave me and my colleagues an additional task: editing the journal "National News", the quarterly magazine, and Lu Jinhua was responsible for the art design of the cover and interior pages. Bai Kexin, deputy editor-in-chief, is in charge of reviewing the manuscripts of the journal, and Zou Furong is also the executive vice president of the research association. When I was "amateur" editing the journal of "National News", from the papers submitted by the screening editors, I had a general understanding of the situation of newspapers in ethnic minority areas across the country.
The journalistic profession has made me develop the characteristics of paying attention to the higher-level party newspapers of the People's Daily, Guangxi Daily, and other local and municipal party newspapers. In 1992, for a while, I noticed that the reports of Guangxi Daily were different from before, especially the continuous reports from the old revolutionary areas of Baise for a period of time, and I could not help but feel that this group of reports was imposing in planning, innovative in the selection of topics, in-depth in interviews, and characteristic in writing, which was very attractive to readers. Upon inquiring, I learned that a man named Li Mingde had been exchanged from Beijing by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee to Guangxi, where he served as the president and editor-in-chief of Guangxi Daily. Sure enough, it was commanded by a master! Having developed a mindset for news reports, I couldn't help but comment on this group of reports and some recent changes in the Guangxi Daily, commenting on their characteristics, applauding them and making some suggestions. With a fledgling ignorance and fearlessness, I sent this commentary letter to "Li Mingde, president of Guangxi Daily." After that, there was no response, and I forgot about it.
2. Enter the gate of Guangxi Daily and meet Chairman Mao's instruction letter monument to Guangxi Daily.
Once, colleagues from the press circles in Guilin City listened to a lecture in the Municipal Auditorium by Rong Lake. Please come to lecture by Yu Qixiang, the director of Guangxi Daily. Listening to the director's class makes people very enlightened, understand a lot of news, some of the problems we usually encounter in the news gathering and editing work, vague, give him a lecture, I feel a lot clearer. I heard that this is a talent in guangxi's press. I can't help but admire, there is a day outside the sky, the provincial newspaper is the provincial newspaper, the master is like a cloud.
Because I was a Chinese language teacher, I was assigned to be an editor as soon as I arrived at the newspaper, but as soon as I had time to find the right subject, I would go down to the county to interview. Therefore, in the past few years, the news collected and written has also won some Guangxi Journalism Awards, China Prefecture And City Newspaper Awards, National National Good News Awards, Xinhua News Agency Essay Awards, Workers Daily Essay Awards, Party Discipline Magazine Essay Awards, and so on.
3. The new office building of Guangxi Daily was also opened as early as 1996.
Time flies, the sun and the moon are like shuttles. In early 1995, A job advertisement published in Guangxi Daily activated my heart: Guangxi Daily was preparing to run the "Nanguo Morning Post" of the nature of a metropolis newspaper. I worked for Lijiang Daily for more than 4 years as deputy director of the information department and with 5 years of intermediate editorial titles, when the prefectural and municipal newspapers did not give the title of high-level official, only a small number of deputy high-level title indicators. I felt like I was only 37 years old and had hit the ceiling of my career. So I told my friend and colleague Zhang Zengzhong to help me hide my whereabouts, keep an eye on the second edition of the work we were responsible for, secretly take a green train, a fare of 10.5 yuan, from Guilin North Railway Station to Nanning, to Guangxi Daily to apply for the Southern Morning Post.
In Nanning, I only met Wang Qing and Huang Zujiang, two Fellows from Guilin, in an interview with Pingle County. After registering, let's see who can find them, and inquire about the nature and situation of the southern morning newspaper. It was a coincidence that I found Huang Zujiang, deputy editor-in-chief of the Great Southwest Economic Herald under Guangxi Daily, and when I saw that Brother Zujiang was very enthusiastic and concerned about me, I directly explained my intentions. Brother Zu Jiang asked me which leaders of the newspaper I still knew, and I said no. Suddenly remembering that three years ago, I had written a letter to President Li commenting on a group of reports, and When Brother Zu Jiang listened, he even said: "Good! I'll help you get in touch and see if I can meet President Lee. ”
4. This is the inaugural issue of the Southern Morning Post on October 19, 1995, and I co-founded it. I was transferred internally to the Southern Country Newspaper after 8 years at the newspaper.
Brother Zu Jiang first called me, saying that there was something to ask for instructions, and then took me to the door of President Li Mingde's office in the middle of the fourth floor. Waiting at the door, several people wanted to go in to report, staring at a gap, Brother Zu Jiang went to the president's office first, leaving a slit in the door, I could hear him first report some things about their "Great Southwest Economic Herald", and then he seemed to suddenly remember that there was a Li Chenglian from Guilin at the door who wanted to visit him. Only to hear President Li say in a loud voice: "Is it Li Chenglian of Lijiang Daily?" Call him in! It seems that President Li remembered the "commentary letter" I sent him to Guangxi Daily three years ago.
Brother Zu Jiang went out laughing and beckoned me in. When President Li Mingde saw me, he stood up and shook my hand. Tall, fair-skinned, speaking Mandarin with a slight Henan accent, I talked to me about the planned Southern Morning Post. Brother Zu Jiang saw the situation and said hello and withdrew. Because I did some homework in advance, when listening to President Li's broad arguments, I expounded my opinions from time to time: At present, the advertising volume of provincial newspapers in various provinces is not as good as that of the evening newspapers of provincial capitals, and the provincial newspapers and evening newspapers are a new thing, and we must also consider the five cities of Yongliu, Guizhou, Wubei in Guangxi, standing on their feet, unlike the surrounding provincial capital cities in the province, which is the only one in the province, to base themselves on Nanning and expand other cities as another urban area... Unexpectedly, we talked like this for nearly an hour, during which there was a phone call to find and someone pushed the door in to report on the work, and he replied: "I am receiving guests from Guilin, you wait first." "I think it's time to stop, not to delay President Li for too long, to insert an empty space, to show that I want to vote under his command to the Southern Morning Post." Because the job posting stated that I was under 35 years old, I stated that I was 37 years old. President Lee said, "Okay. It is the age of doing business. Immediately, he said that he called the director of personnel and asked me to take my resume materials to the personnel office and hand them over to the director, and their social committee would study it again.

Back in Brother Zujiang's office, Brother Zujiang asked me how I had been talking for so long, listened to me state the process, and even said, "Very good, appropriate, appropriate!" However, he suggested that I take the recruitment examination of the South Country Morning Post as much as possible, one is double insurance, and the other is to avoid gossip after coming in.
After work, I secretly prepared for the exam and secretly came to Nanning to take the exam. The lecture hall is located in the lecture hall of the autonomous regional party school on Dongge Road, and it is full of candidates from all over the world. The staff of the examination room introduced a middle-aged man dressed in a blue cadre uniform standing on the podium and said: "Please ask Huang Qizhi, deputy editor-in-chief of Guangxi Daily, to speak to everyone!" "The deputy editor-in-chief came to the scene to proctor the exam! It can be seen that the importance attached to this recruitment. Mr. Huang briefly introduced the significance of running the Southern Morning Post and welcomed everyone to apply for the examination, and then issued a paper to open the examination. Mr. Huang's initial impression on me was: lean, spirited, shrewd, speaking in a loud voice, full of foundation, and full of vitality.
6. In October 1996, I was invited to Beijing to attend the seminar on Mu Qing's works when I was writing a paper on Mu Qing's news works in the morning newspaper, and Mu Qing was very happy to see the full-color "Southern Morning Post" that I brought. _
Not long after the exam, my colleague Zhang Zengzhong and I were sent to a training class for news cadres run by the China Journalism Institute of Xinhua News Agency for three weeks. As soon as I came back and put down my luggage to the newspaper office, the leader sent me, Xu Chengji, Wei Bangyu, and three reporters from Hunan Lingling Daily to form an interview group from the Xianggui border of Guilin and Lingling to carry out the spirit of the instructions of the leaders of the two regions and to write about the unity and harmony of the people on the border between Xianggui and Guizhou. I was appointed as the head of the interview group in Guangxi Dijie, and a director of Lingling Daily in Hunan Dijie as the head of the interview group. Every day during the day, he went to the border villages and towns to conduct interviews, and at night, he wrote a manuscript to the Propaganda Department of the county party committee or the township government to fax and report to the news agency, and the Lijiang Daily and the Lingling Daily simultaneously opened a column of "Xianggui Border Line" and published it.
When interviewing Jeonju County, the last county, I received a call from the leader of the newspaper company at the Propaganda Department of the county party committee, asking me how I could have a business investigation letter from Guangxi Daily.
7. Bailong Lake in Nanning People's Park.
The transfer procedures were not smooth. The leaders of The Lijiang Daily were reluctant to release people, and they saw that they were about to change from four tabloids to folio and large newspapers, and they needed manpower. After the newspaper office was connected, the Organization Section of the Organization Department of the Prefectural Party Committee stuck again and said that the leaders did not agree to be transferred, and once again they flowed and became "talents" again. In the end, through a friend surnamed Wang to help dredge up, the deputy secretary of the prefectural party committee and the director of the organization department finally summoned me, and said that he was very happy that our region also produced talents, and after being transferred to Guangxi Daily, he would help the Guilin area publicize and report more official words, and then asked me to go to the organization section to handle the formalities.
On August 8, 1995, I went from Guilin to Nanning to the Personnel Office of Guangxi Daily and was assigned to the South China Morning Post as a reporter.

I heard that I gave up the Lijiang Daily next to the Eighth Route Army office next to the accommodation building will be divided into a three-bedroom and two-hall house, leaving my wife and daughter, going to Nanning alone, to live with the newly assigned four college students, many friends and colleagues in Guilin are not envious, but say that it is good in Guilin, and what to do in Nanning, Nanning climate is not good, too hot.
There are also family problems that give me a headache. Because my wife is still doing finance in the Lijiang Daily Printing Factory, she has not been able to contact the unit transfer or apply, I left, she began to be a little unpopular in Guilin, at that time the two rooms and a hall with semi-property rights also said that they wanted to be recovered, and the original intention of the leaders of Lijiang Daily was to let me return to the dprk and continue to work in Guilin. I was distraught because of the instability in the rear. Fortunately, a few months later, Mao Dengfeng was transferred from the Propaganda Department of the Prefectural Party Committee to Lijiang Daily to take over as president, and he understood my bitter feelings very well, and under his care, my wife's work was as stable as before. Two years later, under the guidance of Liang Hanchang, who had taken the Southern Morning Post exam with me, I contacted the unit and seconded my wife to Nanning. After the merger of Guilin Prefecture and City in 1998, the Lijiang Daily Printing Factory was also merged with the Guilin Daily Printing Factory, and Mao Dengfeng, who was the director of the New Guilin Daily, continued to let me maintain my wife's secondment relationship until my wife was officially transferred to Nanning.

President Li Mingde also personally served as the editor-in-chief of the newly founded South China Morning Post. After 1999, he became vice chairman of the Education, Science and Culture Committee of the Autonomous Regional People's Congress, and then retired to Beijing. In 2002, I, together with Luo Haihong, deputy editor-in-chief of the South China Morning Post, and Zeng Junfeng, a daily newspaper reporter who graduated from the law department of a prestigious university, were appointed by the leaders of the daily newspaper to go to Beijing to seek and consult authoritative experts on national civil law for a news case. This news lawsuit was excerpted and published by the Nanguo Morning Post according to the quality inspection circular of the Quality Supervision Bureau of the Autonomous Region, which involved 24 words of a certain enterprise, but it was the subject of the lawsuit of 10 million yuan, and after the first and second trials, the newspaper was found to be infringing and compensated 500,000 yuan. In Beijing, we first found Wang Jun, a professor of journalism law at the Communication University of China, whom I had consulted in academic exchanges and consultations, and asked her to introduce and introduce several nationally authoritative civil law experts on news infringement, and also went to the old president Li Mingde's apartment in Beijing to meet and ask for help.
President Li lives in a small spire loft with a roof on the top floor of a seven-story building, which adds up to a size that is not as big as his room in Nanning. I heard that we came for a news lawsuit in the morning newspaper, and The old president Of Li, who was also the first editor-in-chief of the Southern Morning Post, was very anxious, and even took the subway the next day to find the rights protection office of the National Journalist Association with us. In 2005, when President Li Lao came back to Guangxi, I had been transferred from the Nanguo Morning Post to the Nanguo Jinbao, and when I met him in Liuzhou, he was in good health and had a lot of fun. On February 6, 2016, the day before the Chinese New Year's Eve, the group office asked each of us to report to a person in charge to read the documents, and in the group office, we heard a call from the head of the secretarial section from Beijing, and the bad news of the death of the old president Li Mingde died at the age of 81.

An unruly and presumptuous letter of commentary made me start to form a relationship with the provincial newspaper's city newspaper, thanking me for the noble and good people I met.
