On November 7, in Wuhu City, Anhui Province, 88-year-old Qin Yulan stood in front of her house, leaning over her son, whom she had not seen in 62 years. This scene, which has only appeared in countless dreams, has finally become a reality today, and 62-year-old Zhang Jinduo threw himself into his mother's arms for the first time.

In 1959, due to the compulsion of life, Qin Yulan placed Zhang Jinduo, who was just a few months old, at the doorstep of a childless family in Shanghai. Qin Yulan thought that her son would be adopted by the family, so she left a note and disappeared into the crowd. However, the family did not adopt Zhang Jinduo, but sent him to the Shanghai Children's Welfare Institute. In 1960, under the unified arrangement of the state, Zhang Jinduo and other orphans from Shanghai embarked on a northbound train.

Zhang Jinduo was sent to the Fushun City Welfare Institute and was adopted by his adoptive parents not long after. Today, Zhang Jinduo's adoptive parents have passed away. Speaking of adoptive mother, Zhang Jinduo is full of gratitude, and my adoptive mother treats me like her own flesh and blood.

By chance, Zhang Jinduo learned of his identity as a "Shanghai orphan" and had the idea of looking for his birth mother, but at that time, his adoptive mother was old and needed someone to accompany him, so Zhang Jinduo broke this idea until he accompanied his 95-year-old adoptive mother to die.

In January, when public security organs across the country launched a "reunion" operation, Zhang Jinduo, 62, once again had the idea of finding his birth mother, and he came to the criminal investigation detachment of the Fushun City Public Security Bureau to hope that the police could help him find his lost relatives.

Through the online media platform and the household registration police community visits, the Fushun Criminal Investigation Detachment extensively collected more than 30 people with similar growth experiences to Zhang Jinduo in Fushun City, and organized commissioners to search and compare the information of these people. On October 23, a comparison result excited the investigators, and after 24 hours of uninterrupted work, it was finally confirmed that Qin Yulan was Zhang Jinduo's biological mother.

On November 7, accompanied by the police, Zhang Jinduo and his wife embarked on the way home in search of relatives in the south. "I went to Shanghai five times to look for you, but there was no news..." Qin Yulan's voice did not fall, and Zhang Jinduo hugged her mother and cried again. Zhang Jinduo said: "For the rest of my life, I want to accompany my old mother to spend my old age in peace. ”
