The Dead Soul Box is a wine box that is said to be haunted by evil spirits—a vicious soul believed to have the ability to entangle and possess the living. It is said that the box can burn for a long time, but when it is burned, the soul is released. An antique seller made the box famous through an eBay auction, where he wrote its story. According to him, it was a Holocaust survivor, and he didn't want it because there was an evil spirit living inside. He associated the box's presence with terrible nightmares, his mother's stroke, cat urine and the smell of jasmine.
The film is about the Yankees Hawkers Inn, an authentic place, and how two employees try to investigate its supernatural past. The producer recorded several scenes at the scene of the incident and reported several accidents. The reports included closing doors, automatic tv on and off, frequent lights going out, and nightmares for production crews.

This historic inn has had many paranormal events. Room 353 is one of the most haunted rooms, where the original owner, Alice Conley, died. Many of the staff and housekeepers told stories of seeing ghosts around the inn.

Movie star Vera Famiga found paw prints on her computer, and James Win heard a dog roaring for no reason... There are also the most common signs of a movie being cursed – a fire on set.

This horror movie is a spin-off of The Conjuring, and some supernatural phenomena appeared during the production process. One day, director John R. Leonetti walked into the set and saw a three-fingered handprint on a window, much like the three-fingered demon in the movie. Another day, a lamp smashed on the head of one of the actors, just where he died in the movie.
The real-life Annabelle doll is a rag doll. Paranormal investigators Edward and Lorraine believe the doll was possessed by the soul of a dead girl named Annabelle. The doll is kept in a wooden box with a message: "Warning: Never open it." Yes, we definitely don't.
