On November 19, Jianhu County held a commemorative event for Qiao Guanhua to attend the 50th anniversary of the 26th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the restoration of our legitimate seat in the United Nations. Qiao Guanhua, a famous diplomat who went out of Jianhu in 1971, led a delegation to attend the 26th session of the United Nations General Assembly, where he proudly stood proud of the United Nations General Assembly with his outstanding wisdom and unique talent, promoted the prestige of our country, and opened a brand-new page for the diplomatic cause of new China.

The commemorative activities showed people the turbulent diplomatic past through different forms such as the photo exhibition of Qiao Guanhua's diplomatic career and the symposium held to commemorate Qiao Guanhua's attendance at the 50th anniversary of the 26th session of the Un-General Assembly. Chairman Mao's housekeeper Wu Liandeng inscribed the exhibition title of "Qiao Guanhua's Diplomatic Career Photo Exhibition"; Qiao Zonghuai, son of Qiao Guanhua and former vice minister of foreign affairs, delivered a video link speech; Mao Guiming, former director of the Yancheng City Party History Office and author of "The Biography of Qiao Guanhua," introduced Qiao Guanhua's diplomatic career, and Dr. Qiao Songdu, daughter of Qiao Guanhua, told the moving story of his father, Qiao Guanhua.
