Aesop's Fable 6 - The Sea and the Shipwrecked Man

author:jackayzhang

A shipwrecked man was washed up on the beach, and after some fighting with the waves, he fell asleep tired.

When he woke up, he angrily rebuked the sea for first tempting people with the calm sea, but then for treachery. As they sailed at sea, the sea suddenly raged against them, causing both the ship and the seafarers to fall into the sea.

The sea took the form of a woman and replied, "Oh, seaman, don't blame me, blame the wind." Because my nature is as calm as land, and the wind that falls on me angers me, but that is not my intention. ”
