When she was three years old, she was taken by her mother to perm an explosive curl and take a photo. "Because I'm a person with stiffer and straighter hair, I don't know why my mom took me to perm one of these curls, and when I was young, I thought it was a shameful thing and I didn't want to mention it." Now it looks quite interesting. She looked at herself in the picture, and her eyes never left.
Little girls grow up in the ordinary that each of us can feel familiar with: "the old street in front of the house, the name of the street, the stone road, the plane tree, the bridge that I looked huge and difficult to cross as a child, the little flowers with a special aroma, the local seasonal fruits and vegetables, the pyrotechnic street food and street stalls." She said these childhood pictures are her own exclusive memories of Chengdu. Beijing, on the other hand, is the place to chase dreams. Unlike being taken care of by his parents and indulging in the atmosphere of home as soon as he returned to Chengdu, Li Yuchun in Beijing has full control of his own life, even if he was not so accustomed to it at the beginning because of the climate.
"Beijing is drier and less rainy, which is completely different from my hometown." The cover was filmed on the day of the snowfall in Beijing at the beginning of this winter, the wind was wrapped in dry and cold air, the ground had frozen ice ballast, and the sun was a little harsh. Li Yuchun changed out of the GUCCI high heels he wore when shooting outdoors, sat down on the sofa opposite the editor and sucked his nose slightly. She had little change from the way she looked when we interviewed at the Cannes Film Festival years ago, focused, thinking before answering, rarely blurting out. It's just that that year we called her "Spring Spring", and now she is more often called "Li Zong" by the staff.
"I like Beijing, though I rarely express it. Although it is dry, rainy, congested, and huge, I still like Beijing, I have lived here for 16 years, I have worked, lived, thought, created, and also got sick and overcome the difficulties of life here. ”
She likes to stay at home, even if the "power" is only a corner, she is happy to do it, because at least she can be free. On weekends in Beijing that don't set an alarm for yourself, you wake up naturally and then spend the day like a normal person.
When I am sick, I miss my home in Chengdu, and in addition, I also find the cuteness of Beijing in my own space.
The meaning of the weekend for Li Yuchun is probably to rebuild a connection with the city, with himself, with all kinds of people he meets, and with a less certain future.
