This is probably the darkest sci-fi thriller movie I've ever seen, and if you've seen an even darker one, feel free to leave a comment recommending it to me.
The film, called Deep Space Amnesia, is a 2009 apocalyptic space film produced by the German company Constantine and released in the United States.
[Don't try to test human nature]
Leaving aside the plot of the movie, let's take a look at a famous "human experiment".
Marina Abramovich, a performance artist, conducted a special experiment and ended up stripping out the darkness of human nature naked.
Her guts are big enough. She had the team members give themselves general anesthesia, anesthesia for 6 hours, but still conscious, and she wanted to observe people's movements and the whole process of the experiment.
Onlookers were told that her body was at her disposal and that all 72 props provided could be used, including roses, lipstick, tape, wire, knives, chains and even pistols.

And such a good thing? The demons in people's souls seem to be starting to stir.
After that, the process of experimentation became more and more out of control. At first, people were just doing innocuous pranks, but then it gradually evolved into harm to Marina's body, some beating her with rose branches, some taking knives to carve words on her, piercing her skin with scissors, nailing nails into her fingers... It wasn't until a madman put a pistol against her head that the experiment was terminated.
When she woke up, she walked into the crowd with tears in her eyes, and everyone fled in fright.
By contrast, if Deep Space Amnesia becomes a reality, it will surely become the pinnacle of human darkness.

I remember in a screenwriting class, the lecturer said something:
Screenwriting is the profession that is best able to present ugliness. You must know that as long as the conditions are ripe, people and everything can be done.
Because of legal and moral constraints, we know how to control our words and deeds.
So what if law and morality disappear?
The mission of the Elysium spacecraft is to carry tens of thousands of frozen human embryos and deeply dormant crew members and families to the target habitat, Tanis Star. Shortly after flying away from Earth, the three rotating crew members received the last call from Earth, to the effect that the Earth is over, bliss is the last hope for the continuation of human civilization, and you can go by yourself.
It was also at this moment that the order of human society completely collapsed.
Two of the three are still doing their duty.
The other, the film's arch-villain, Payton, worships himself as a god after killing the other two crew members.
The life and death of the entire ship was under his control, and he woke up some of the crew and family members and drove them to the bottom of the power compartment.
He started doing whatever he wanted, and he did everything you could think of.
Later he began to let these people kill each other and eat each other's flesh and blood...
He got tired of playing, so he went into the dormant room, woke up, and then he continued to play, and the cycle began...
Only this time, the dormant compartment seemed to be malfunctioning, and he slept for too long. When he woke up, he found that Elysium was still drifting in the dark universe, and apparently, they had not reached Tanis Star.
Payton himself, too, has lost his memory.
The energy supply of the "Bliss" is unstable, and the power system needs to be restarted. Payton woke up an engineer crew member, Bauer, who was guided by Payton, who headed to the power bay to restart the power system.
However, another creature appeared on the Elysium. A bloodthirsty, brutal, agile, and strong humanoid creature.
During his dealings with the creatures, Bauer became acquainted with three other crew members and learned the story of what happened on the ship. Those humanoid creatures are actually human beings for Payton's amusement, gradually forming the most primitive social organization in the hundreds of years of self-destruction, and escaping from the power capsule.
Finally, Bauer returns to the cockpit and meets Payton, who has regained his memory and is mad.
At this point, the final light of the film appears. A glowing, whale-like creature swam past the Vicinity of the Bliss.
It turned out that the Elysium had already reached Tanis Andrea, and had been sleeping on the dark seabed for 800 years.
After a round of fighting, Bauer destroyed the cockpit hull and Payton was swallowed up by the rapids.
The Bliss also initiated an emergency escape program.
When only 2,000 remaining dormant chambers were ejected from the sea, humanity finally ushered in the "First Year of Tanis".
The director gives a just right reversal at the end of the film, finally giving people a glimmer of hope.

We can't evaluate science fiction movies with a scientific eye, it's not fair.
Although there are some incomprehensible bridges here, such as what human beings have survived on for 800 years, why the dormant warehouse has failed, etc., it has not been reasonably explained.
But everything needs to be explained, and it seems too harsh.
Because the pursuit of perfection itself is a kind of imperfection.
Moreover, human nature itself cannot be explored, and the more it is discussed, the more terrifying it becomes.
Just like when we face the temptation of money, if the price is given and no one is held accountable, how many people can stick to their bottom line?
Recommend this movie, it is not great, but it is amazing enough.
